Its a shame when the forces of nature take away somthing beautiful. We are staying close by and the hotel has only replenished the sand behind the stone sea wall in the past few days.I believd that the beaches etc will be returned given the number of dredges in the sea. Looking forward to the restoration

Yes some of the beach has been "destroyed" by the typhoon that devastated the Philippines a few years ago. We were in Hoi An in Feb 2017 and we were pleasantly surprised when Hoi An found its way onto Trip Advisor's 25 list of the most visited places on earth coming in at #12. Congrats to the Vietnamese and the... More

Beach was washed away in storms a couple of years ago and the sand has never returned. Viet government needs to invest in the services of a oceanographic engineer and build a sea wall to stop the erosion issue.

This beach was virtually destroyed by a tsunami a couple of years back. Not recommended for use! Everything in the area seems to be under repair, busy and noisy.

Cua Dai beach has suffered some erosion of late but they are working to restore the damage. It is still a very nice area and has some great sand. A short bicycle ride from old town Hoi An along the rice fields is worth the trip all by itself.

Cua Dai is an amazing beach, and if you're from New England you'll be able to time your visit properly. It's a colder one, The water is seriously brick (50ish degrees fahrenheit) but we expect that right? It's clean, wayyy less populated than An Bang (go there instead or also) and still a tropical gosh darn paradise! Perfect for Mainers,... More

If you want to hang out at a beach for days on end this is the place, get a hotel here. White baby powder sand and the lovely south China Sea. We stayed at Magnolia Villa in HOI AN and rented a scooter to cruise the seaside. Ended up on this beach by taking a small trail between resorts and... More

We chose to spend time in the area around Cua Dai Beach due to the quiet location and numerous local restaurants to eat in. The beach itself is currently undergoing a bit of a transition. Due to coastal erosion over the last few years most of the beach was lost. There is now work underway and each day barges arrive... More

Lovely white sand and plenty of lounges and umbrellas to hire. Very easy to lay around and pass the day.

Not great if you travelled around Asia there are many better beaches. Sea is cold and dangerous for swimming. Better book an hotel by the rice fields and swimm by the pool.
