Description:

We’re much more than just a food tour – we’re a Vietnamese Food Expo...

We’re much more than just a food tour – we’re a Vietnamese Food Expo providing an entertaining opportunity to experience and learn about Vietnamese culture through its unique cuisine.

We start with the experience of the bustling local Hoi An market where we meet local vendors and taste some selected foods. We then walk a short distance to our comfortable tasting room for the tasting presentation of a wide selection of delicacies bought directly from local vendors - some of whom we saw or met in the marketplace.

Our package includes:

. Pick-up from local Hoi An hotels.

. Guided walking tour of markets, food producers and vendors

. Full commentary with English speaking hosts

. More than 30 different food and beverage tastings

. Complimentary non-alcoholic drinks

. Hygienic and safe food handling

. Comfortable tasting venue

. Printed list of foods offered

. Great photo opportunities

. Food and restaurant recommendations - and more

Vietnam's history and national psyche can be learnt through its food, and this tour knows it. Owner/storyteller/comedian Neville is a hilarious guide who has been living in Hoi An for several years. Being once an outsider himself, Neville understands all the tidbits that make Hoi An food culture fascinating through they eyes of a foreigner. Sampling about 40 different dishes... More

This tour and introduction to the Taste of Hoi An is a definite must do! From sending my initial email, to the very end, this is a very professional and informative set up. The date we originally wanted was already booked out, but Neville, being the very helpful person that he is, sent me an email with apologies and recommendations... More

What can I say that other travelers haven't? Just took this tour for the second time (the first time was 5 years ago) and some things are the same and some things have changed. Neville, Colleen and Sen are still there and those 3 along with the rest of the staff and merchants they work with, give you a great... More

This tour is amazing. It was one of the highlights of our 3 week trip in Vietnam. Neville is a fantastic character and so knowledgeable about Vietnamese food and culture. I could have stayed listeneing to him all day. The tour iteslef is excellently done starting with a beautiful bowl of mixed fruit before touring the market and its myriad... More

We had many friends rave about this tour and they were right. Must do this your first day in Hoi An. The food and local knowledge are unparalleled, and vegetarians are so well catered for! Many thanks to Sen and all the other wonderful ladies, and last but not least, thanks to Neville & Colleen.

Look, it's relatively easy to visit the beautiful city of Hoi An on your trip to Vietnam, it's easy to look at the wonderful display of lanterns and the breathtaking old centre. It's easy to leave thinking you've got everything from your short stay. But until you've indulged in the local food, you've really not completed your visit. This food... More

What a great morning. We started with an amazing fresh fruit shake, visited the local market and street food stores to see all the fresh ingredients and to sample amazing flavours. We then had many tastings- 42 in total and the tour finished at midday and we did not eat again until breakfast the next morning. Neville and Sen did... More

Lots of great food and drinks as you'd expect, but there's also a lot of interesting history and background offered that I now find invaluable. It is very hard to find information on Vietnamese food from the Vietnamese (you can't ask a fish to describe the water in which it swims) but Neville has great insight. I'm also now convinced... This tour was a real highlight for our family (including 2 teens). Neville was very helpful and accommodating for a few of our tricky dietary needs (++allergies for our daughter & coeliac) and we all ended up having a wonderful time tasting many new dishes, experiencing the food markets and finding out so much about the local attractions. Neville made... More

Our family of 4 kids (5-15), their parents, and grandparents had a blast with Sen and Neville. The food was a wild mix of hot and cold and sweet and spicy and both Sen and Neville kept our kids' spirits high under the hot afternoon sun. We would strongly recommend booking a morning tour if possible, and taking a tour... More
