Thuan Tinh Island is a small isolated island, around 3.5 km far from Hoi An Ancient Town, on Thu Bon River. Thuan Tinh Island is an eco-friendly island rich in tropical foliage making it a beautiful place to cook, relax and then enjoy the dishes you've created, Thuan Tinh Island Cooking Tour. We organize daily cooking classes at Thuan Tinh Island: pick-up at the hotels in Hoi An area. You will make your first stop at the market to purchase some fresh and locally grown herbs, before joining a river boat ride in 30 minutes to Thuan Tinh for a relaxing meander through what has been officially recognised as an ecological zone. To visit the local Village, we take a row boat ride through the water coconut trees. We then walk through the gardens to visit a local family and snack on grilled rice cakes and iced tea. From there, we head back to our open-air cooking class overlooking the water coconut trees and river. Our chefs will show you how to make Vietnamese food while you enjoy the cool breeze and peaceful setting. That is much more than simply a cooking class as a journey to discover the eco island that makes you satisfied.

We broke up into small groups of 5 or 6 for the market which I doubt I would have attempted without our guide. The vegetables and fruit were amazing. After a short trip up the river we arrived at the island cooking school. Trang, our chef was a wonderful teacher and the 4 course lunch was delicious, even if I... More

This cooking tour is so much more than a cooking class. We were picked up from the hotel in AC van, then taken for an explanatory tour of the market, with advice on how to pick the best ingredients. A boat ride down the river and we were soon at the class, being taken through all the stages of preparing... More

This trip was incredible! First we got to visit the market in Hoi An and our guide explained about the different types of food we would be using and explained the best places to get different ingredients from. Next we began our boat trip where we were given free bottles of water and an incredible view. After a while we... More

Loved this experience (last Friday), from the market visit to buy the food to the boat ride on the river and of course the cooking! (And eating!) Don't come here full!! Overall a very worthwhile excursion - and Trang was a great tour guide!

We did this tour today and it was great. Very well run and Tiang was a great tour guide/chef. The food was delicious (almost too much food) and Tiang was great at adjusting the menu for me given I don't eat onion or garlic. The boat ride was also a nice way to see a different part of Hoi An.... More

This was a wonderful day out. Started off with walking through the vibrant markets collecting ingredients for the class. Our chef/tour guide Hon was very informative whilst we were in the markets. We had a group of 7 so it was easy to keep together and felt more personal. We next got the motorboat along the river which was really... More

Chef Hon was great! I could do without the market trip and the boat ride but for those who have never been to a wet market I can see where it would be fun. We learned how to cook some things that I think we can do at home. Thanks Chef Hon. (Bring your own beer, didn't see any for... More

We booked this cooking class together as three friends and it was just amazing! You get picked up at your Hotel/Hostel and first you get to go to the market with Chef Hon where he will explain every ingredient for todays meal and also unusual fruits and vegetables that are unknown to most Westerners. Following the market trip you take... More

It was a very good experience, first we went to the market where we bought fresh vegetables and meat for the cooking. Then we got on a boat and came to the little island where everything was already made up so that we could star immediately with the cooking. We had four traditional Vietnamese dishes which were all very good.... More
