    Well worth the visit.
Four of us did the cooking class today and had a great time. Interesting to learn about the gardens and how the local people make their living. The class was not only fun, but informative. Everything was clean, the food was fresh and our Head Chef was amazing, Our Head Chef Kun, was fun to be with and explained everything clearly. I couldn’t recommend this class highly enough. Thank you to everyone there.

Farming and cooking at TraQue waterwheel
Had a very interesting tour and activities in Tra Que water wheel. Our guide Kun was very lively and witty and knowledgeable about the area and plants in the plantation. Definitely a great experience for the family to try tilling, planting and watering the plants and cooking a meal with the fresh vegetables.

    Exhilarating basket boat ride
Basket boat experience was really fun for the family! Water Wheel arranged 2 way tpt for us from our hotel to the venue. The exhilarating ride took an hour. A bit hot but we were kept entertained with performances, crab fishing and opportunities to learn how to tow a circular boat. The lunch that followed was yummy and satisfying.

Tra Que Water Wheel village tour
What an experience, we travelled to Tra Que Village from our hotel cycling and navigating through the city traffic of Hoi An with kids in tow. I was a bit nervous at first since it’s been probably about 10yrs the last time I rode a bike especially with my 8yr old son on the back but I must say it was fun. We a family of 4 had plenty of laughs and really enjoyed the tour. Hopefully our bokchoy we helped planted in the vegetable garden will grow healthily in the next 6months. Our tour guide Kun was amazing. What a breath of fresh air she was. From the moment she picked us up from our hotel to the cooking class we had with her and Kun showing the kids how they made rice paper rolls she was patient and just lovely. Overall we really enjoyed our tour and would highly recommend it to family and friends

A fun time at Tra Que Water Wheel
Our family had so much fun at Tra Que. We cycled, rode a water buffalo, had a ride in a boat, did some farming, made some rice paper, did a cooking class and sang some songs! Everyone was so friendly and full of happiness. The whole experience was one of the highlights of our trip to Vietnam. Thank you! Keep spreading your joy and happiness! :-)

Great way to spend the morning
What a great morning. We were picked up at the hotel and our bikes had already been delivered. Then it was off to the market which was very busy. We cycled to the village and were shown what was being grown. Then we started cooking. We made four dishes in total. They accommodated my vegetarianism without any problems. Everything was well planned and they took great care of everyone. Lots of food to eat. All food was prepared for you so you could maximise cooking opportunities. Cannot recommend enough.

    Highly recommend the cooking class
A fun and tasty experience. Kun was a great guide and teacher as she first showed us around the market to gather some ingredients then back at the restaurant to cook them. Kun also had great comedic timing and a lovely sinking voice. The recipes were tasty and enjoyable to cook. We highly recommend the experience, was one of our most memorable days of our trip!

    A wonderful experience!
Wow, so glad we got to visit this lovely farm. Our hosts, three sisters, were so friendly, personable, and funny. We enjoyed a tour of the garden, trying our hand at preparing the garden, planting, and watering; making rice paper, cooking, and lots of eating. The food was delicious - one of the best meals we have had during our time in Vietnam. Definitely recommend a visit.

Best way to spend half a day in Hoi An
We did the half day cooking class with Suan. It included a tour around the Hoi An market where our guide bought some local produce for us to try, a quick walking tour around one of the Tra Que farms as well as cooking and eating 4 local dishes. We made fresh spring rolls, papaya salad, a fish stew and Vietnamese pancakes. The food was absolutely delicious and Suan was very helpful and attentive. She kept us all entertained and taught us a lot about the Vietnamese culture. Any trip to Hoi An would be incomplete without doing this class! 100% recommended.

The visit to ‘Tra Que Water Wheel‘ was included into our cooking class and turned out to be the best part of the lesson! The experience started with a glass of a traditional refreshing Vietnamese drink. Then, the restaurant’s chef Xuân - an incredible woman who truly values Vietnamese customs and traditions, faithfully following her grandparents’ recipes and techniques, - taught us the ‘ancient’ way to make the rice paper. Nowadays, this way is almost forgotten and replaced by the machines on the large factories. As a result, the class becomes extremely unique. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will bring you more joy than you expect, and the taste of homemade rice-paper will remain with you for a long time. I am forever grateful to Xuân for all her hard work: she puts her heart and soul into each lesson.

We did a cooking class with Ruby and booked directly at the site of the restaurant. It was a fabulous afternoon! Ruby is a great guide and very funny and made cooking for my two sons of 16 and 13 a lot of fun! The food was so fresh and delicious! Nice to remake at home too.

We were picked up at the market and after buying some ingredients we went to the restaurant where we were warmly welcomed by the family. Not only is the experience a lot of fun, it is also really nice to meet the lovely family in their restaurant. Thank you Ruby!

We have visited the restaurant as part of our tour, so it was selected by the tour company. We are thankful that they did. The restaurant is located in the gear of a eco friendly herb village. The setting is nice, the food is prepared with care and a service was brilliant. I don’t think we met a nicer server than Tiên ( the fairy) and that is much to say for we had met with some fantastic servers throughout our trip in Vietnam.

We did the hoi an experience with our Guide Khun. We went to the market and she explained about the fruits and the vegetables and even bought some fruits which we never tried before so we could try them 😊 We enjoyed the boat and the buffalo ride and the farming was also quite informative and interesting. The cooking class was also really nice but we would have prefered little less entertainment. The food we cooked and we got even more food was delicious.

A very good day spent with Kun. Started with a bike ride to the markets then a ride in a basket boat before heading back to the farm to learn about traditional farming methods. We then went on to the cooking class where we learned to cook 3 dishes including making rice paper.

We were also introduced to a buffalo on the way home but none of us were up to a ride.

Worth the day I would recommend it to anyone.

Our family did the Real Hoi An experience tour and it was fantastic.
Kun was our host and was very knowledgeable and able to answer our questions and was great with the kids.
We started off with a market tour and selected some fruit, then when on a basket boat ride where we caught crabs. Next stop was a ride on a water buffalo and then a veggie farm tour where we planted some veggies and learned about herbs.
Then we did a cooking class which included making rice paper and then a delicious lunch including what we made and some other items made by the kitchen.
We didn’t ride bikes at our request, but you can. This was a fantastic tour for kids, ours which were 6 and 8 yo loved it.
Thanks for a wonderful day!
