This bullfight stadium was built in the early 1900's, but was closed almost immediately due to the outlawing of bullfighting. Within a few years it will be completely restored into a convention center, with restaurants and sporting events.

Stumbled upon this when on a bike ride and found it quite interesting along with the rail museum next store. Well worth a look and quick trip from town . Hope they can someday ‘recycle ‘ this into a concert or sports venue .

It is not the same than watching the Colosseo in Rome, but not only for the size. This Plaza de toros from old times is ruined and nobody takes care of it, even though they show you it in the city tour, but only from...More

We had a great driver that took us a little of the beat n track and came across Plaza de Toros. While closed, you can still see how this could have been a gathering points way back when. Very cool piece of history.

It was interesting to view this structure, the steelwork was fabricated in Great Britain. There is a railway museum opposite. There are plans to refurbish part of the arena to provide a concert venue.

Having explored the old town we walked along the coast road to the town insignia sign for some typical tourist photos, with a view of the bay and town n the background. We continued on to the ‘bull ring’, which turned out to be a...More

This is a pretty old site and not that well maintained. Its pretty far away from the port and old town and hence can skip this unless you really have nothing else to do.

It's an abandoned place, nothing especial, probably the most interesting and special thing was all the way before to arrive there from the historical center.

Regrettably, the bull ring building can only be seen from outside because of a fence around it. The iron and brick construction is Interesting as well as its middle age arabic style. Far from the old town, better reach it by bus, bycicle or car.
