Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Open to believers since 1987 this huge mosque in the center of Sharjah dominates the surroundings, even at night when the building with its impressive dome and the two 70m tall minarets are illuminated. The mosque is named after Faisal of Saudi Arabia (Saudi monarch assassinated in 1975 known in the West especially because of the oil embargo in 1973 a measure taken to support the Palestinian people).

I prayed several times at this masjid and I enjoy its location and parking area around. Also the imam has nice voice and if you are in sharjah why not planning to spend a time in this masjed.

I have visited a couple of mosques prior to this one but none of them are as good as this one. The mosque is amazing and the audio guide provides all the information you need.
There is no charge for entry or the audio guide.
This is a place you should not miss

Its construction started in 1984 and was opened to the public in 1987. Built in honour of Saudi Arabia's late King Faisal, this is the biggest Mosque in Sharjah and can easily accomodate up to 17,000 people. One of the most recognisable landmarks of Sharjah, the Mosque is placed at the very heart of this Emirate, at King Faisal Road and at a walking distance of the famous Blue Souk. Avoid visiting it on Fridays and during the Ramadan period. Enjoy!

The ladies prayer hall can accommodate a good number and is very helpful during the Eid season where women go to mosque on a daily basis. It has a sense of old world charm interspersed with rich architecture from yesteryear. A much visit site in Sharjah.

Sharjah’s King Faisal Mosque was built in the 1980s and is an iconic landmark in a very central location.

The Main Fish and Meat markets, as well as the Central Souk, and a major Bus Station are all in the near vicinity while a lovely park adjoins the Mosque.

Ample parking is available here. The Mosque has a separate Ladies Section and can apparently accommodate 15,000 worshippers at once.

Buses taking pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for the Annual Haj also depart from the Car Park.

I was in the vicinity this afternoon and walked passed the Mosque admiring its architecture.
