Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Location : very easy to travel from dubai you can take E303 bus from Union station. And you can walk only 5-10 mins to reach the museum.
I have been in Sharjah heritage festival 2021 event
Museum has educated the visitor the history of UAE, also some shows and traditional food are offered.
You can see real of Emirati culture and history and information in this place, unfortunately, i went to see some place inside the museum they have only arabic description. (May be because of the festival idk)
There is very good place for all ages to visit.
I recommend this place to anyone.

The Heritage Museum and its surrounding museums are very well organised and provide an interesting insight into the history and customs of Sharjah. There are the inside galleries but also an outside space and roof top areas to visit. Nearby are other small museums including an original school building which was very interesting and had a very welcoming custodian who showed us around. The heritage area is either a 15 minute walk from the bus station (past the equally interesting traditional animal market) or a five minute taxi ride.

The heritage village is located in a part of town where there is lots of renovation going on and is parallel to a large shopping area. Many of the local taxi drivers do not know where it is, so look for the sign for Heritage village and get off on the main street. Unfortunately, there is one small sign & if you miss it then there is no hope of finding it.Unless like us,you have a street map of the place on 'smart phone' which helped with navigation & getting us there. Try to go late afternoon / evening as most of the places and live performances are on then. The main Heritage museum and souk are open early afternoon. The museum is free to enter and it is interesting to learn of the culture, etc. On the same site, outside the Heritage museum there are a number of other buildings (all museums e.g Calligraphy, traditional house of a pearl trader, etc) you will need to check that these are open & depending on who you ask, you tend to get differing answers( many times I was told e.g. the Calligraphy museum is open by one security guard , when I tried to walk in another guard stopped me).I thought it best not to argue and ended up not visiting some of the places on site. You don't really need a guide & everyone speaks English and all the signs are in English, so I was quite happy wondering around. Some of the sites are still being renovated so you cant see them all.Not much else in Sharjah. However if you want to learn about the culture and avoid large malls & crowds-this is the place to be.If I wasn't in Sharjah, I would not recommend a special trip to see the heritage museum

Heritage Museum of Sharjah has displays that trace UAE’s history, rich culture and traditions. The various themes on display here are: history, landscape, lifestyle, traditional knowledge, livelihood, and oral traditions. It is a small museum and can be covered between half an hour to one hour. The themes are done in detail, the props arranged well, so the tour across them at a medium pace helps cover all.

The staff here are awesome and the place very interesting. If you like learning about the natural, ancient history of the Emirates and the region, then this is the best place I could recommend.
Some of the artifacts are incredible, and really paint an alternative image of what life was like in the Emirates.

It was interesting to see the way that the people lived only 40 years ago before the oil was found, and the heritage of the Tribes where the rulers from Dubai and Abu Dhabi come from. There are photos of their ancestors living as a Bedouins and they have come so far but still take care of their people as "Fathers of the Emirates". In spite all the modern constructions they preserved their culture and traditions.

The heritage area has been under renovation for some years and will need much more time to be completed. The small museum has pictures and artifacts from Sharjah's past that is informative but rather old fashioned.
