Quite an experience to see the daily trading, the variety of produce from sharks to shrimps was amazing, however the fish we wanted was called Amoure and we were shown four live fish flipping about in a bowl that the trader claimed to be what we asked for, a deal was struck and the purchase was then disembowelled and filleted by a skilful guy with a very sharp knife who wanted another AED 10 ( £2) . The fish turned out to be amazing , once cooked. However not cheap, next time we will stick to the fish stall in Lu Lu,s. I'm sure we should have bartered, being the only white faces amongst a hundred people at the fish market, we were definitely mugged and the trader probably took the rest of the week off .
