Sheikh Zayed Palace is one of the best examples we can currently find in the oasis. Built in 1937, it was home to the former UAE President H.H Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan until 1966. Many years later, in 1998 it was converted in to a museum and definitely open to the public in 2001. The Sheikh Zayed Palace... More

Wonderful place to visit to gain better understanding of Sheikh Zayed and what he meant to the UAE. Also better understanding of life as a royal family. Well worth visiting. All of Al Ain is great

We had a nice visit to the palace. There are lots of rooms to have a look in and check out. It's free as well.

Lots of history and cultural information, quite pretty and worth a visit. Hard to comprehend that such green gardens could be cultivated in the middle of a desert. I am fascinated by older buildings, so well constructed. People do still reside in parts of the palace so you won't have access to all of it.

Families, groups, couples, or friends... can all enjoy this outing. It is a short and pleasant visit for all ages. Difficult to get guided tour though. I have been here 4 times and never managed to get a guide. The place is not crowded, but I think they only have one guide. However, it's fine walking around on your own.... More

Lovely nomadic palace. Great to see how the UAE ruler started off his kingdom. The palace has many portraits and images as well as tools of the late Sheikh. It's a very quiet and peaceful palace surrounded by thousands of trees.

I don't get tired to go the palace museum each time i bring guests to Al Ain. A great place to visit after a stroll in the oasis.

It's just a good-to-see museum with all of the ruler's belongings and you get a glance into their lifestyle.

It was very hot day when I went there. I suggest to visit the place anytime from November to March; it will be much better.
