The new steel sarcophagus made the reactor looks more like a hangar or a big factory but but it´s the way it has to be in order to seal the radiation for the next 100 years. Every tour will get you to at least 200 metres from the reactor number 4 and it´s very safe.

The support given by so many countries to contain this disaster is incredible! I had no idea so many nations contributed and we should all be grateful!

Let's face it if you are visiting Chernobyl then you are going to visit this, this is where it all started. You can't see much now it has the new cover over it and the guards will try to stop you taking pictures.
