Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I love sitting in the park or a cafe near the square and watch the world go by.... wedding parties sounding their horns, blue and yellow trams and lots of people walking in the parks...

I have no idea why people keep translating the name wrong (like in Moscow) it is not Red Square, but Beautiful Square. Red and beautiful have only one word in Russian, but… Nice Square and a lot bigger than I would expect to find in a city like this.

Nice to walk at evening. Big but not overcrowded space. Restaurants, parks and sightseens nearby. No problems with parking.

Chernihiv Red Square is a pretty cool place - nice architecture and the pedestrian street with the fountains leads right to it. Next to the square is another fountain with some musically choreographed fountaining- a huge hit with the locals.

Well, the red square, way better at nighttime thanks to the lighting than during the day. Worth a look, i suppose, nothing out of the extraordinary in daytime.

During my stay, quite a few festivals took place in the square. It's beautifully situated with a theater, park, and monuments. Be sure to see the near-by fountain. Quite a few nice cafes are next to the square.

Relaxing on summer evenings, full of families with children and young couples. Recommend to have a dinner on the outside of one of the restaurants. Perfect for romantic dates.

This is a really nice little town with an interesting drive from Kiev. But there isn't a wow attraction. There are lot of churches but you have probably seem many better ones in Kiev. Worth a visit and would be great in summer to lay around on the grass. Maybe not such a great winter place to visit.

Not necessarily interesting, but if you're in Chernihiv you'll pass by there anyways. Big square, two or three nice buildings (the opera house) that's about it.
