Beautiful lanscape
Jun. 2021
We visited the river on a day trip from Marmaris. After a stop of about two hours at Turtle beach, we boarded some boats and traveled up the river to the town of Dalyan. The first part of the trip is not very impressive, you sail on some canals bordered by reeds, along with many other similar ships. There are no other plants (like water lilies) except reeds nor waterfowl . Stereotype. The boat makes a short stop in front of the tombs dug in the rock of the mountain, at Caunos. Gradually, as you approach Dalyan town, the landscape becomes more interesting, even beautiful. Houses, restaurants with terrace and lots of colorful boats. The most beautiful part of the trip!

Barkas boat - noisy
Aug. 2020 • Family
The Dalyan tombs, mud bath and turtle beach were amazing, the problem with our trip was the Barkas boat which is very disappointing. The trip out there is two hours in each direction during which time you are tortured with 90s techno music playing so loud you cannot hear yourself talking to the person next to you. It was totally bizarre because there were any teenagers or drunk 18-30s on the boat at all, it was mostly families with young children several of whom made complaints. I did and they just ignored me. It was a rough noisy ride, I just wanted it to end. Also, everything is extra - food drinks etc. A lot of smoking, even on the smaller boats to the tombs.

Nice Experience
Jul. 2019
You have come to Dalyan and want to go to Iztuzu Beach. It is a very reasonable choice to choose the boats going to that beach on this river.. Here, the boats take their customers and get up at certain times and on the way you you can watch the natural beauty among the reeds. The round trip costs 20 TL for the 2019 summer. The boat journey takes 30-40 minutes and you can see the ancient city of Kaunos and rock tombs on the slopes on the right (along the road). I think they can have private tours for families and individuals as well. A really nice and inexpensive service. I recommend everyone to have this experience.

Beautiful River
Jul. 2019
This is a long river connecting to the strait of Dalyan and İztuzu aka Caretta Turtle beach. You can have a boat trip, it will take around 30 minutes and you will also have the chance to see the King/Rock tombs. You may also run into a swimming turtle during the trip. With the ticket you bought at the beginning of the trip you can return by it using any boat. There are some cold drinks at the boats and I prefer drinking a cold beer during the trip.

Great food very friendly staff
Oct. 2019 • Couples
Located on the river edge this restaurant is a marvel. The staff are very friendly and helpful chatting about themselves as well as being very attentive in providing a great service. The food is delicious and cheap as well as all the drinks which are the cheapest in the town yet this restaurant has got one of the best views. We had a great time here thanks to all the staff

Worst trip ever
Oct. 2019 • Couples
It states on your ticket it is an 8 hour trip first lie of the day try 14 hours, told we would be taken somewhere nice and quiet and cheap for breakfast another lie it was rammed, expensive and the staff there were very rude and making prices up as they went along, everything was rushed and after being told times to be back at points the rep was always the one who was late back after telling us to get back quick. The place they took us for lunch was a joke staff were con men and were very rude demanding payment for drinks before they were even finished I had to wait until everyone had eaten for my Dinner as the rep had forgot to order mine on the way oh and looks like my partner has food poisoning from hers. Rep had no interaction with us she spoke on the mic for around 10minutes on the way there no explanation of things as we went round she may aswell have not been there to be honest. So be prepared to spend 2 and half hours doing actually activities and the rest will be traveling out of 14 hours not worth the money

Turtle beach, then to mud bath
Sep. 2019 • Couples
Fantastic boat trip which your lunch was included in the trip, which was lovely, while you travelled to turtle beach. You docked, then smaller boats picked you up. You stopped there for an hour. After that, the smaller boats took you to dalyman, which was amazing, the boats took you round in-between the reeds, which there was some lovely views of hotels and people living on the water's edge. You then saw the king's tombs in the rock face. Then you reached your destination of the mud baths, which was such fun, especially rolling about in the mud. After that the boats took you back to the main boat. It was a full days trip and well worth the money.

Fantastic boat trip down river. Feels almost tropical in terms of landscape. Temples in the cliffs. Worth a visit definitely.

Dalyan turtle beach

This is a place with a really nice beach. The water is clean and the beach is busy but big enough to accommodate . Definitely wear flip flops on the sand as it is burning hot !
