Sits in marmaris on the edge of the marina. The turks are very proud of their history and this is evident with the flags hanging everywhere. Your walk past this anytime your in town and cant miss it.

This is the centrepiece of Marmaris. It marks the meeting of the sea at the Marina and The Grand Bazaar across the road.

We passed by for some photos, and it is a nicely done and raised statue, but i wish there was some kind of explanation or history about the statue and the square itself

Turkey is my favourite Islamic country and Ataturk is the man who made it so! How is it not possible to admire a man who made this country so great. A grand statue alongside a beautiful harbour and a busy bazaar.
