Oludeniz
About
At Oludeniz, you can expect a stunning blue lagoon, lush green mountains, and turquoise waters so clear you can see the bottom even far out from shore. Engage in a variety of water sports or simply relax on the sandy beach. Paragliding off of Babadag mountain is popular as well, offering breathtaking views from a different vantage point. The town of Oludeniz also has a charming village atmosphere, with traditional Turkish fare and shops selling handmade ceramics and textiles. It gets busy during summer, so visit during the shoulder months if you want fewer crowds. – Tripadvisor

Very relaxing, lovely cup of tea and Turkish delight to finish. Great value for money for almost 2hours of total relaxation and pampering. Would recommend to anyone

    Oyster hotel Oludeniz
Wonderful hotel here. Very private and intimate Oyster hotel. Lay back at pool surrounded by olive trees for shade. No umbrellas needed. On beach front, plenty restaurants to choose from. Staff cannot do enough for you. Watch the paragliders drift overhead coming from Babadag mountain whilst relaxing at pool. They land in front of hotel along the front walkway all day long. Visit Blue lagoon - Billy’s bar for barbecue and entertainment. Dalyan river cruise. See tombs in cliffs, sea turtles. Enjoy a mud bath. Babadag Mountain - cable car and Paragliding.

    Beautiful
We stayed here for a week. What a beautiful holiday spot, excellent variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Lively nightlife. I would most definitely visit here again only downside was the beach was hard to walk on as it was pebblely and getting in/out of the sea was hard as the waves were forceful. We didn't get to the blue lagoon as it was the Turkish holiday/festival. But will next time.

    Lovely views
Everyone is different, the view is lovely and the boat trips to the 6 islands are beautiful if you love swimming, and the Jeep safari was amazing we had an air conditioned mini van and we left early in the morning to beat the late morning tourists. As for food I would say not impressed it was hard to get authentic traditional food. Paragliding was amazing, you can use the water taxi boats to do solo trips to islands in the evening. Always check your bill after meals and never hesitate to complain if you aren’t happy with the service been offered. They are polite people I must say. I stayed at the MAJESTIC Hotel I was disappointed with the service, you pay for a fridge kettle safe daily and the food was an eyesore. Music played was for people clubbing so loud all day no consideration of the clientele. The cleaners were fantastic and just an obnoxious, rude, bar tender who everyone complained about.

Beautiful natural landscape and surrounding but it's a seaside resort
Beautiful surroundings; tree covered mountains all around and huge beach which is well served with sunbeds and bars/loos which are well kept and reasonably priced. The locals are really welcoming, good humoured and we found them genuine and all round lovely. However, this is definitely a resort that is a perfect beach holiday for some and not to others and we are probably outliers on this as we found the whole place a full on seaside resort with no real character or interest. There is one main drag which is largely designer knock off/clothes/shoe shops and bars/restaurants although there is everything in between and everything you need. There is one beautiful shop near the beach that sells lovely local products. By night the bars go all out to provide entertainment to get custom, which is loud and largely consists of men dancing on tables (which is a fun twist; I guess as it's an islamic country), sometimes with flaming aerosol cans for extra excitement. The restaurants were much of a muchness. None we visited were bad the the standard is 'ok' and some also feel the need to provide loud live music which is fine, except it competes with surrounding restaurants. You can find some restaurants take more care and do more interesting menus and are a nicer experience than others so it is worth doing your homework. Finally, it is some distance away from anything interesting to go and explore, except for the ghost town up the hill. I would add though, that we should have done more research before we booked it...it was a last minute thing so didn't and ended up somewhere that didn't suit us.

    A great holiday
The Beldeniz hotel that we stayed in was exactly as described. It was small and friendly. Rooms were cleaned every day. Plenty of sunbeds around the pool and nobody 'claimed' their bed for the day. The food at the hotel was very good. The usual Turkish breakfast was offered. The choice of lunches/ snacks was great and the evening menu looked good but we didn't try it. The resort was great. Lots of great restaurants and bars, the usual shopping but also some artisan stalls. The shingle beach was busy and there was a drop into the sea which made it tricky to get out with the waves. The sea wasn't very clean here as there were lots of people and also the diesel from the boats/watersports. We were told by holidaymakers at our hotel that we could have had a free taxi to Billy's Beach which was a private beach not far away. They charged £1.50 for a sunbed and shade and the sea was crystal clear. I think there were other private beaches as well that you could go to. I wasn't keen on the Blue Lagoon. We couldn't buy a drink as we didn't have a pre-loaded card and they didn't take cash. It was a long walk or you could get a golf cart taxi - they took cash. We were told that it's best to visit the Blue Lagoon early in the season as the water is clearer then. We loved Oludeniz and would definitely return.

    Amazing place and holiday
Went for a week with my partner and we had an amazing time. The room was a little too small for what we are used to so we upgraded to the honeymoon suite which was beautiful. The hotel and staff were excellent and the evening entertainment was the best we have experienced. The food was also lovely and you could walk outside the hotel and there were lots of restaurants and bar, if you felt like you needed a change. Fantastic holiday all round and we generally do not go to Turkey, but will certainly be returning to this area

They paved paradise and put up a parking lot
I travelled to Olu Deniz in 1989 when package tourism was fairly new to the region. We stayed at a pension B&B in Hisaronou which back then was not much more than a rural village and a few makeshift bars. It's rural tranquility, picturesque mountain range, the very photographed sandbar and beach hippie vibe really drew me in. I stayed at Olu Deniz again in 2001 to paraglide off the top of Babadag after arriving at the summit on the back of a dusty truck. It had certainly grown but still lots to offer, charm without being too commercial. So August 2023 we travelled again to Oludeniz as a family with my teenage daughter. The mountains remain and the views are the same and are now available for everyone to enjoy with the addition of a cable car to the summit of Babadag. The road from Fethiye to Oludeniz has been developed into a 4 lane A road which is very busy. The amazing wide beach at Olu is the same but with many more sunbeds and watersports. Near the entrance to the sandbank, several day trip ships leave each morning. Many of these are pirate themed playing load Turkish dance music and spilling dry ice...the sea is quite wavy so watching tourists getting on the gang plank that's rising and falling about 4 foot was amusing. The famous sandbar is now terribly crowded with sunbeds, traffic queuing into the carpark and a concrete path leading along the sandbank to several restaurants, changing rooms, and other facilities dotted amongst the trees. The sunbeds are close together and the sea was very busy. We only visited Hisaronou once and it's just unrecognisable with only the old mosque still unmoved. Basically now a knock off goods market. Some of the bars with entertainment were amusing for a night. Let's be honest, after 34 years I was expecting change but in appealing to the masses they do seem to have thrown the baby out with the bath water.

    Fantastic Country..
The Hotel where we stayed in Oludeniz was fantastic, location is superb. 5min walk away from all the shops, bars and beach. Okudeniz Beach by Z Hotel, go in inclusive and the food is absolutely is to die for. Swimming pools are good, with late night bars to cater for all. I would highly recommend coming end of season (Oct) weather is still 28degrees upwards and all activities are half price. Boat trips are well worth the visit and it’s an all day experience with great food for £20. If you want extra for £20 you get a personal photo shoot of your day around all the islands as well, great value.. Fly with Jet2 and it’s a 4hr flight with a 2hr coach trip to your hotel. And the hotel does supply hot soup if you arrive at late night.

Absolute rip off, TRL 1500 = £40 for 4 sunloungers. It's been ruined and like Benidorm on steroids!!!
Do not visit, it's a money making venture for locals.

My 2nd visit to Ouldeniz, such a beautiful place. Great food, nightlife and shopping. Plenty of places to book excursions and activities. Only downside is when you shop, the owners bug you to buy.

You'd do well to beat the location, views and activities here.
Foods amazing, shops are good, beers a tad expensive but that's to be expected.

It looks stunning from all pictures.. Truth really harsh shale beach you pay to go in then changed 750TL for sunbeds 500 TL for 2 beers and 50TL for him to bring them the 10 yards... It looks absolutely gorgeous but truthfully not in any rush to return... We stayed in Club Tuana in Fethiye it is really good hotel and payed for a cab over to Oludeniz which I found run down and quite dirty

This resort was my worst nightmare. I really did not do my homework on this one. All the photos online are aerial shots that lead you to believe it is stunningly beautiful. How shocked and gutted we were to find it was Turkey’s answer to Benidorm. English breakfasts and spag Bol on the menus, Is This the Way to Amarillo blasting out…you get the picture. Zero Turkish culture, 100% Britain abroad. Saving grace was our hotel, The Pearl, which was like a little oasis, and Babadog which was pretty cool.

Great place to visit. Such a variety of hotels catering for all budgets, bars and restaurants of all types - Turkish, Indian, fish, etc. Not particularly cheap - especially for alcohol. We found that if the exchange rate went in favour of sterling, the alcohol prices would go up! Great beaches as long as you avoid the paragliders landing on top of you! Beautiful lagoon with such blue water. Definitely recommend.

We have visited the national park many times but this is the first time we have stayed in the resort and it’s very disappointing. Loud and expensive with absolutely nothing Turkish about it. Totally geared up for English tourists, all the prices are in pounds and if you try and speak Turkish they look at you as if you are mad. We are staying in a great hotel which we will review later but this resort is not for us.
