About
At Oludeniz, you can expect a stunning blue lagoon, lush green mountains, and turquoise waters so clear you can see the bottom even far out from shore. Engage in a variety of water sports or simply relax on the sandy beach. Paragliding off of Babadag mountain is popular as well, offering breathtaking views from a different vantage point. The town of Oludeniz also has a charming village atmosphere, with traditional Turkish fare and shops selling handmade ceramics and textiles. It gets busy during summer, so visit during the shoulder months if you want fewer crowds. – Tripadvisor

- Mark P113 contributionsFantastic Country..The Hotel where we stayed in Oludeniz was fantastic, location is superb. 5min walk away from all the shops, bars and beach. Okudeniz Beach by Z Hotel, go in inclusive and the food is absolutely is to die for. Swimming pools are good, with late night bars to cater for all. I would highly recommend coming end of season (Oct) weather is still 28degrees upwards and all activities are half price. Boat trips are well worth the visit and it’s an all day experience with great food for £20. If you want extra for £20 you get a personal photo shoot of your day around all the islands as well, great value.. Fly with Jet2 and it’s a 4hr flight with a 2hr coach trip to your hotel. And the hotel does supply hot soup if you arrive at late night.Visited October 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 26 October 2023
- Kathryn DEdinburgh, United Kingdom1,117 contributionsBeautiful resort - but very busyGreat place to visit. Such a variety of hotels catering for all budgets, bars and restaurants of all types - Turkish, Indian, fish, etc. Not particularly cheap - especially for alcohol. We found that if the exchange rate went in favour of sterling, the alcohol prices would go up! Great beaches as long as you avoid the paragliders landing on top of you! Beautiful lagoon with such blue water. Definitely recommend.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 14 November 2023
- Michael ELiverpool, United Kingdom49 contributionsNot the best experienceIt looks stunning from all pictures.. Truth really harsh shale beach you pay to go in then changed 750TL for sunbeds 500 TL for 2 beers and 50TL for him to bring them the 10 yards... It looks absolutely gorgeous but truthfully not in any rush to return... We stayed in Club Tuana in Fethiye it is really good hotel and payed for a cab over to Oludeniz which I found run down and quite dirtyVisited April 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 April 2024
- Gerard HGlasgow, United Kingdom75 contributionsDon't Bring Scottish moneyMany people go to experience skydiving. To be Honest the beach was absolutely filthy with cigarette ends, and a few of the places are not all they appear. I think the worst thing for me was ,I had taken Scottish money with the Queen's head to be told they don't accept Scottish money it has to be Bank of England,And Yes that was in the hotel too,you can get it exchanged for a Lesser Rate. This made us feel Quite insulted and I feel the Tour operator TUI should have stated that. I for one will never visit Turkey again,if my Scottish money is no good then I won't be back.Visited September 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 22 July 2024
- shahmuraiKarachi, Pakistan438 contributionsI enjoyed my dayWent here twice. I really enjoyed it. Lovely, playful waves kept me bobbing up and down. Water was clear, soft pebbley beach. It was crowded but didnt deter me from having a good time. beach umbrellas and lounges available for rent as well as cabanas. Lots of bars, restaurants and cafe. Good spot.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 22 July 2024
- randy h43 contributionsTravel experienceTurkey was a great exspreance with good people and lots to do there. I was very impressed. However, my problem is I would not advise others to go there as it is so expensive there you will require a truck load of money to enjoy the full experience. Alcohol and food are through roof with some activities being over priced my mine armed with that information. You will need extra cash to enjoy your time thereVisited July 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 29 July 2024
- Gigi M2 contributionsA Heaven on EarthIf Fethiye is my favorite holiday destination, the reason is Oludeniz. It is a Paradise in this world. Sadly, it is very crowded nowadays, not like in the old days. But, I still enjoy it regardless. A must-see if you're in the area for sure...Visited August 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 15 August 2024
- Yasl9299 contributionsPROS & CONS. Beautiful but changed a lotI have visited Oludeniz and the surrounding areas 4 times in the last 11 years. It feels very different now than it did when I first came here. PROS - Beautiful beach and clear water The lagoon & the pedalos/water sports Cable car and surrounding mountains are very beautiful in terms of scenery Lots of trips available - something for everyone Fetihye is very nice to visit and potter about in. CONS - It's become truly expensive here - the same or often more than the UK which makes it pricey especially when food/drinks are poor quality . Bars and restaurants very much want your money and everywhere you go you are hassled which takes it's toll eventually It's become very tacky, loud music, so many knock off shops selling crap it could be so, so nice if more traditional. It feels very Benidorm esque here which is such a shame as 10 years ago it really didn't.Visited September 2024Travelled with friendsWritten 3 September 2024

- sam wMiddlesbrough, United Kingdom11 contributionsGreat but no CiderBeen to Oludeniz 4 times now as a couple & we have loved it every time, chilled out place, never had a bad meal, service amazing & friendly. Only small problem I had was they don't do much choice of Cider, only 30ml bottles so like me, a person who only drinks cider & by the pint it worked out about £11 a pint. Where the local beer was about £4 a pint. Just to make you aware if you are a cider drinker anywhere in Turkey.Visited September 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 12 September 2024

We went to Hotel Majestic Olu Deniz what a fantastic holiday we had. We was made to feel so welcome by all the staff on arrival. Our room was lovely, clean, from the cleaners to the bar staff, receptionists they was all amazing.
We would highly recommend this hotel we had 10 nights & we’re definitely going too be rebooking. When your talking too other holiday makers who have all been there numerous times that’s saying something.
We would like to thank everyone at the Hotel Majestic for such a beautiful holiday.

Oludeniz has one of the most beautiful beaches in Mugla Province.. Great restaurants along the beach and some good bars, with a great selection of all price ranges of hotels.. The Blue Lagoon, that is within walking distance from the main beach, is a must place to visit.. Great vacation place for all the family.. Easy bus service, Dolmus, from Oludeniz to many other tourist areas that are worth visiting.

The price of a night out is ridiculous. 4 bottle of Corona costing £26 on average makes a night out in the u.k. look cheap. Saw and experienced the local businesses trying to scam party goers. They hope people are drunk enough they can convince and intimidate people that they haven't paid a try to make them pay twice. I use to love ouldeniz definitely will not be going back.

Visited in February on a nice sunny day! What amazing views and natural beauty. Definitely a must see if your in the area. You can go on a private speed boat tour which was well worth it or even jump off the top of the cliff while paragliding. Was unable to do this as it was not the season but must be an amazing experience

My favourite place in Turkey. Just come back from 10 days and split our time between the main beach, nature reserve beach and the lagoon. All are lovely, sun beds and umbrellas are reasonably priced and if you are feeling lazy someone is bound to walk past offering drinks, ice creams and food several times a day.
Do visit all three areas if you have time, and have a walk around the peninsula.

Olydeniz could have been a nice place to spend holidays, but unfortunately it has VIP Dance Bar in it.
This place might be good for those who wish to dance, party and drink. But for the majority of holiday makers , based on the reviews from all nearby hotels, and my own personal experience, this place turns holiday in Oludeniz into hell. It ruins Oludeniz , because not many families with children, active hikers, older visitors would come back or encourage others to come here ever again. VIP Dance Bar: why or why do you think playing extremely loud music every night until 4am is going to encourage people to come here? maybe some drunken idiots in their 20-es, who are not the majority of visitors! No one in nearby hotels can sleep at night, and Oludeniz is a small village.
What a disgrace, our holiday is completely ruined as we could not take part in any daytime activities we planned being too tired after sleepless nights. For that reason I would not recommend Oludeniz to anyone, in their right mind, until the local council sorts this place out and orders them to stop the music at 12-2 pm, like other bars do!!!
We stayed at Salonika Suites, but when I walked around at 3pm, I can confirm that the music was extremely loud and disturbing for dozens of other hotels around, if not all of them.

The blue lagoon is massively underwhelming. Nowhere to sit without incurring a sun lounger charge - rude staff saying its forbidden to leave belongings nearby. Water isn't that great. Go to St. Nicholas's island instead for clear waters and peace and quiet.

Oludeniz is beautiful. Set just by the Blue Lagoon with stunning views, great weather and amazing sunsets.
The only thing that ruins it is how much they cater to Brits abroad. It was like visiting a weird version of the UK with knock off shops with the same name (TesKo, AZDA, Jimmy Shoe, Trotters Cafe, IIdl)
I wish they showed us their true culture because that would make it an amazing place. There were a small selection of wonderful little restaurants and bars that we managed to find.

We came to oludeniz for our holiday for the first time.
We stayed at the Turquoise Hotel for 10 days
We had a lovely stay there, from when we arrived the hospitality was excellent
The staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay they couldnt do enough for us
The food was absolutely beautiful and with plenty of choice to go at we never once had a bad experience with what was on offer.
The pool was great in which there were 3, which included a small one for the little ones.
Throughout the days and evenings there were plenty of entertainment to take part in and wind down to, which included darts, zumba water polo, bingo, not to mention the dancing classes and disco, karaoke, showtime for the young ones
Our entertainment hosts Martin and Mel were absolutely fantastic throughout, they thoroughly entertained us and I'm sure everyone will agree
Martin and Mel were very professional in what they did and very approachable and also very friendly and a nice couple who made time for us.
The hotel was faultless and the staff were very polite to us and helpful who did an amazing job to make our stay at the turquoise hotel a memorable one
Oludeniz is beautiful and lots to do for all tastes
We would definitely return

Hi all, we will be in Oludeniz this October and will be hiring a car. I'd like to know if it's possible to get views of the lycian trail by driving? Or where the closest parking is to park the car and continue?
We are reasonably fit in our 30s but not done any hiking before that involves climbing up or down. Thank you

Hi are there many bars and disco nightlight in oul deniz or karaoke bars...we are in our 40s but want scenery and entertainment

I believe there are about 50 pub+restaurants. I definitely listened karaoke and sew night clubs with dancers on bar table.
But take into account is't Oludenizm not Berlin (if you understand what I mean :) )

Какие цены на развлечения и кафе? А также экскурсии? Не знаю сколько денег брать с собой?
Written 27 September 2020

We were hoping to visit in Early August however it looks like most of the bars and restaurants are Temporarily Closed due to COVID. Please can anyone tell me if they are there now or have been in the last couple of weeks and what the situation is for venturing out of the Hotel?

Can highly recommend The Lemon Tree £35 a night per couple including safe and breakfast lovely place so clean . It's the beginning of the season so I would say there should be plenty of places open. Hope you have a good holiday.

What is the weather usually like mid october and will there still be plenty of things to do?
Written 20 August 2019
It should be around mid 20s, although there could be cool or hot spells that could last a few days. The water temperature would be be around 20-22.
To me it's an excellent time to experience the area, as there wouldn't be too much crowd, you would get the real feeling of the area, all activities would still be available and at low season prices.
