The WC was filthy and disgusting. So as long as you avoid using the facilities, you will find a collection well with visiting dating back thousands of years BC. Some unique items and large pottery collection.

I was a bit disappointed by the limited variety of ancient objects considering this region has so much history. Some coins and weapons and pottery and plates. The WC facilities were not good for a museum.

This is the only museum at Kars downtown and includes archeological things that found around Kars and also there is a dinosaur bone. If you stay at Kars, this museum should be seen.

We arrived five minutes before closing time, the lights we're allready out. But we we're allowed in to have a quick glance at the awesome collection that spans thousands of years. Well worth a visit.

Worth a visit with commentary in English. It's a good over view of the archaeology of the area. It's a long way from town. A taxi is 10 lira from town to museum and they will wait for you. 10 lira return.
