I first visited the Agora in 1974, and then again in 2016. The Agora is my favorite photo spot in the city center. Great spot for black and white photography. So much more work to be done.

Easily accessible by foot from the Izmir Hilton, the Agora Open Air Museum offers an impressive view of ruins of ancient Smyrna. We highly recommend the experience.

I went there alone and was awestruck by how beautiful and old these ruins were. Gives perspective, what will we leave behind.
