You need to pay to go inside (it is a small fee however). Not worth it to go inside considering what you see on the outside is what you see on the inside. There are better ruins to see.

If you're in Izmir and you love ancient history, these are worth a 20 minute look. However, you really want to head to Pergamum and Ephesus for a much better picture of ancient life.
