For heaven't sake stop cslling amphithater, theather!!@ they are not!!!. Amphi means two thesther together phorming 360 degree. A theather is 180 degree... Ufff i cant believe people dont bother to check this stuff. Ok; as a whole this Roman (no Greek) theather is in a very good shape and it has a very useful information on the site.

Dont visit Turkey without visiting this site. You will want to spend a good 3-4 hours here. You can swim here so bring swimwear and towel.

We think that a lot of visitors to the natural wonder that is the travertine pools for Pamukkale don't get as far as the adjoining city of Hieropolis. GREAT SHAME - they do not know what they are missing! As well as a very impressive amphitheatre (HUGE) a lot remains of the ancient city which sprung up to serve the... More

Beautiful place to visit, shame that doesn't seem to be looked after by the government. Bring your own snacks and fluids as difficult to find decent eating places around it.

Such a wonderful site, but it is a long walk and most of it is uphill, but once you get there it is well worth the effort

I never imagined to see something so beautiful in Turkey. The moment you enter the main gate, the real size of the theatre comes into play. The theatre is huge and a beautiful roman spectacle. Worth the visit.

The Roman amphitheatre is located in the roughly within the centre of Hierapolis. It is fairly large structure with a seating with a capacity of over 12,000. Expect a semi steep uphill walk of around 10-15 minutes from the sacred pool. The theatre is only a small part, of this ancient and spectacular area.
