This is a great experience. The only downfall is that they get very busy taking away from the beauty. It can be quite uncomfortable to walk around the salt lakes (shoes are not allowed) and this is made harder by navigating around lots of people on some narrow paths.

Looking really amazing and also warm! Really worth visiting. On the hot sunny days umbrella may be required as it really feels super hot while walking there.

The whole place is beautiful and stunning. Definitely worth a visit. The only thing to be careful of are the people who offer to take professional photo shots. They will try and rip you off for the photos so better to take your own pics or haggle with them if you can!

It was unfortunate that I visited on a cold and rainy day. But the travertine pools are not particularly spectacular. They just look like melting dirty snow - very far off a ‘cotton castle’. Whereas in the pictures they look white with glistening turquoise water - only three or four of the pools have water in them. It’s a long drive to get to Pammukale. I would strongly recommend not bothering! There are many other beautiful places in Turkey. Sadly this is just an ugly tourist trap and not worth the effort. The days trips are long winded too, with stops at onyx factories.

I think that Pamukkale is one of the places where lights aren’t focused enough, Pamukkale should be considered one of the miracles because of the unforgettable moments that you will experience, however the touristic facility wasn’t enough prepared.
As a result, I would highly recommend to focus on Pamukkale as much as Bodrum

I visited Pamukkale twice in wintertime and both of them I liked very much. There are unique travertines, you can step on them only without shoes, because of very fragile construction.

On the top of the hill, there are ruins of the ancient city Hierapolis, which was totally destroyed by an earthquake. So my question for historians, why fragile travertines were not destroyed by earthquakes too? How it could be possible that they were saved?

This place is the best in the region. Better to come here during winter mornings when it's free of tourists and you can feel by your legs the difference between the cold travertines at the beginning of your rising and then warm water on the top at the end of rising.

I put 4 points only because the people continue destroying this place more than an "ancient earthquake". 10 years ago there was a lot of water inside the upper travertines. Now, they are empty. Hope what we are seeing in 2022 will be in good condition for the next 10 years.
