Full eyes of beauties

Combination of history in Hierapolis and scenic beauty in neighboring Pamukkale is a must! I like every minute of it.

Did not have time to climb up to see the view the limestone cliffs from the top and our guide did not even mention Hierapolis but I did sit with my feet in the water around the lake

We visited Hireapolis and Pamukkale including Cleopatra Pools independently, ie: not on a tour. If you stay in a nearby town or anywhere say within 60 min drive away-this site is worth the visit, DEFINITELY can do Ephesus and Pammukale in the same day. Some visitors drive for 4 hours one way to visit and have said were underwhelmed. From... More

Long time and lots of time spent to get there but believe me it worths. Make sure you have a spare batery for your camera. Do not waste time with the Cleopatra pool or the theater as you can enjoy similar in other places. The Pamukkale is unique so spend all tour time there. The beat for me was the... More

Maybe we were tired from the hours of traveling in our van to reach this destination, maybe all of the other mysterious ruins we had seen beforehand made the strewn marble of Hieropolis seem repetitive, or maybe it was the large number of overweight Russian tourists in skimpy bathing suits wallowing in the healing waters of Pamukkale, but overall, this... The beauty of Pamukkale was nothing short from what I expected. If ther was anything negative about the experience it was the number of tourists and a few people stepping on the areas where the are not supposed to! Beautiful and amazing!

We only had 20 mins here as we were on an RSD tour. It looked magnificent and well deserved its rating as a must see. But if you are on a tour with RSD they give 20 mins here but 4 hours at jewel and leather retail!

Visiting Pamukkale for the second time was wonderful! Last time we went there was no water as it had been diverted to hotel pools!! This time the water flowed freely over the gorgeous calcium cliff of the Cotton Castle,it was breathtaking at sunset and we soaked our tired feet in the waters and enjoyed every moment.

We visited these two sites on the same day. We drive to the North Gate, walked through Hierapolis and then on to the travertines/terraces. It was a long and hot walk through the Hierapolis sights. Make sure you take drinks with you. We particularly enjoyed the agora (market), the cathedral and the amphitheatre. The travertines were awesome, if a tiny... More

Have always wanted to visit having seen pictures and finally did in last week. We did a day trip from Olu Deniz and it was a long day (started at 6am and was not back till after 8pm). It is a 4 hr bus journey each way. Hierapolis is a vast site and you could easily spend 3-4 hrs if... More
