This castle is so unique and a beautiful way to spend some time hiking around. We enjoyed the views from here as well, Cappadocia does not disappoint!

Castle looks cool from afar and up close. But the entrance fee is a compete rip off, maybe the ticket prices have been raised due to covid and less tourists. The views from up top are great but you can basically get those views without paying to go up. And there is no info about the castle inside.

Two castles you must visit in Cappadocia are Uchisar and Ortahisar. Both of them are amazing with a slight advantage of Uchisar imo.
Uchisar castle is a short 10-15 min drive from Goreme. It's an amazing sight seen even from a distance, and while you're driving becoming more and more spectacular as you approach.
Climbing it requires your good abilities with steps, uneven terrain, narrow passages, etc...but worth every effort as the views from top are amazing.
It is not included in the Museum Pass, but I really cannot understand people (specially westerners) here complaining on couple Euros fee, as everything here is so cheap, much less than it'd cost in Europe or US.

Not to much here but a great view. A good climb before dinner. Not included in the museum pass so not a good value!

The castle itself is cool, but the views from the top incredible! I wanted to see more of the living structures beneath the castle and it wasn’t until the next day that I realized you can just explore those spaces for free…

The entire town is dominated by the 90-metre-high (300 ft) rock-castle in the centre of the town, which is called Sivrikoya by the inhabitants. It is an extraordinary Urgup where I stay is a very good option.

The best view in Cappadocia, hands-down. The walk up looks daunting, but it's not so bad. And coming back down is even harder than walking up, because you won't want to leave. I was spoiled when I was there, as I was there for the largest snowfall in modern history in Cappadocia. Not to be missed.

Small entrance fee, works on site, the stairs are steep but the view at the summit worth it. It’s the flagship of Uchisar
