this is a nice open air shopping center made to feel like a old bazaar, but several shops are empty leaving fewer choices. The ceramic shop is nice but pricey, the owner does a at least some of the pieces himself using old designs as a model. He will let you bargain but not for a huge discount. There is... More

We attended a whirling dervish show in the restored caravaneseria which in itself is something considering it was a stable for camels and protection of the goods on the silk route, But the amazing ritual of the dancers is something you must experience whilst in Capadoccia, And they give you a photo opportunity at the end so as not to... Very well restorated mid age typical carravanserai. Very traditional mesnevi Show. Great staff and non-commercial atmospher. If you are in Cappadokia, you should pay a visit.

I was so intrigued to know that this was an old Carvanseri that was restored, situated on the old Silk Road, were traders used to stop over night with their goods. We saw a whirling dervish ceremony there, and the ambiance of this place made it spectacular

I wen there with my husband to see the Dervish dancing. We went in, thinking it was going to be something lighter... it turned out to be extremely inspirational, metaphysical and moving. I got transported, same as my husband, we end up extremely relaxed and filled with joy and love. When you talk to them they make you fill the... More

Whirling dervish ceremony, held in a 13th century caravanseri (caravan stop). In warm weather the ceremony is held outside in the courtyard, in cooler weather it is held inside. Arrive early and you can walk around inside and out and wonder what it might have been like for a traveller 800+ years ago. The ceremony is about 1 hour long,... More

We attended one of the performances and found that it was something different. Some how we expected something more. The dancers spin around and that is it. Having seen it once that's enough.

I came to this caravanserai to witness members of the religious Mevlevi Order perform their Whirling Dervish ceremony. Before deciding whether this is something that you want to attend, you must fully understand what the demonstration consists of. It is not a "show". It is not meant as entertainment. (Although as I have heard and read, some places, such as... More

We were very fortunate to book our Cappadocia tour with Rock Valley. They planned this ceremony visit for us at Saruhan center. The ride from Goreme to Nevsehir, in the evening is quite an enthralling one. This is a restored Caravansarai. The ceremony was something else entirely! If you know what you should expect from a sema ceremony, I am... More

Heavenly experience. Totally worth the time. Great performance by every single member in the troupe. Would highly recommend to anybody who is interested in sema worship ceremony and witnessing it in entirety.
