From the topside of the canyons it is interesting to see the eroded landscape. Walking below though the valleys you appreciate the natural beauty of the area. Also it is down below less busy so you have the area to yourself.

Very nice calm valley, with a mixture of differing textures of the rock, colours and interspersed with some greenery too. The white in places is superb.

Really cool place full of cute little details, the swing, the tree full of greek eyes, people are really friendly and it is a beautiful place to take a lot of pics.

Since we didn't take a hot air balloon ride, we got to visit the very site where the balloons fly over. The view is just as beautiful cliffside.

This is the famous Goreme Valley where they also have the evil eye tree. Beautiful views and do tie an evil eye on the tree and wish for something good :)

We were there in April this year and did a two hour walk through Rose Valley on our own. We did not need a guide and it was absolutely beautiful. There were other walkers we passed and I did not notice any guides with them... More

Urgurp and Goreme are simply two different towns in Cappadocia. I personally slept in Goreme and went to the so called Red Tour (bus tour with guide) and one of the stops are in Urgurp. I think the best places to sleep when... More
