Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It’s a great place—the second is deep-deep, the third is a balloon take off. Make sure to get the museum card before you go. Mobile entry card can be created quickly. You can purchase it in the card app. If you’re going in the warmer weather, the hat saves lives. Water is sold at the entrance, but if you’re more than one day tours, the price isn’t attractive. You can rent a taxi for less. By agreement with a taxi driver, I toured 6-7 places in the same day (Sezkonak underground city, ceramics, pessabies, zelve, derbent valley, love valley).

We visited and had a wander round. It's not a long walk and so you only need around 20 minutes maximum but it's a great place to take photos. It's only about a 2 minute drive from Zelve Open Air Museum and you buy a combined ticket for 12 euros which includes both.

We took lots of pictures, my son played one of his songs on a spot with a spectacular view. It’s all so exciting that you get chills. You absolutely have to go and sneak into the rooms inside the tuff and basalt formations.

A magical place to be in. The magnificent landscape and panorama feel like you are in a fairyland. The stone formations are breathtaking, and the view is something out of this world. As someone from an Asian country, it is really a wonderful experience to be there.

Really interesting to see this magical place with thousands of fairy chimneys carved out of Volcanic rock. It is a magical place to be in. Both the place and its name are like straight out of fairy tale .
We were told that the fairy chimneys are natural yet surreal-looking spires up to 130 feet (40 meters) tall that were carved out of soft volcanic rock by the elements over millions of years.
There is a café where visitors could sit ,have a drink , relax to enjoy the breathtaking view of this magnificient landscape with panoramic feel .
Certainly worth seeing !!!

My family and I visited in July 2024. If you’re going on your own, there’s free parking near the entry point. Admission is provided with a voucher. It''s a natural-formed place in a wide open space. Not many signs of old life. Overall, it''s a trip with naturally formed rocks, but a must-see. You're in awe of the view. You can wander around with a baby cart or wheelchair, as most of the space is flat. With comfortable clothing and comfy shoes, it''s best to bring water. Because there’s no place to find water in the excursion area.

The location is about 1-2 minutes drive from Zelve entrance. The parking lot is on the opposite site of the counter. There are few shoplots before reaching the entrance. Truly amazing how the ancient people construct and made the rocky area as their home.

Not such a big place, but surely an interesting one. You need about 1 hour to walk through it all.
The historically living areas are quite busy, so you will need to wait in a line to be able to climb to some accommodation in the museum. But I would say that it's still worth it.

What a desappointment. Formerly an enchanting natural site, the new organization (and the prices!) clearly show that the important thing is to take the tourist's money, rather than letting them discover the site peacefully. It's all about business and money. Move on and walk elsewhere, where you will see the same type of geological formations.

We came here as part of the red tour and really were chuffed to see this magical shaped fairy chimneys. I studied geography (back in the day) and wished I learned more about them then.. these are simply fascinating and really capture respect and time. They're unique and as such, we felt privileged to be there in person to see them. Would recommend

Hi, can we drive through the fairy chimneys and if not is there a need to walk a far distance to see the sights? My mother recently had knee surgery and walking may be an issue
Written 23 May 2019
No drive to the car park. Try a wheel chair otherwise not accessible. The chimneys are a reasonable distance from the car park. Can be seen from there. Cafe and market to fill in time whilst waiting.

No recuerdo bien.

hi I am visiting Cappadocia in a few weeks time and will be staying in Nevsehir for 6 days. My aim is to see as much of Cappadocia in that time I am a solo traveller and welcome advice on how to incorporate all the places of interest at reasonable costs. Any recommendations on tours and companies that you can recommend would be a help.
Written 11 February 2018
Hi. You could book with any of the Tour Operators in Cappadocia. Most offer similar tour packages but at different prices. We used Gorgeous Tours. Excellent tour & knowledgable guides.

Tabii ki konaklayabilirsiniz. Yalnız buralarda gezerken bebek arabasını unutun. Yazın şapkalar ve suyu eksik etmeyin

hi can you get a taxi from goreme to the fairy chimneys and is there a cafe there please
Written 7 January 2015
Hello traveler. There are loads of taxis which you will find in the centre of Goreme by the bus station. You really do not need one though as you can see the fairy chimney's in all of Goreme. The open air museum is interesting. Also hike through the valleys; Love Valley, Rose Valley and don't miss one of the underground cities. Cafes are everywhere!! Enjoy your stay and exploring!
