Long Beach is indeed "long" and lined with what appear to be free sunbeds and umbrellas, but we ended up paying a local guy 500 TL for two sunbeds and two umbrellas. He was friendly and seemed to help out with errands for the nearby restaurant. From the restaurant, we ordered two toasties, chicken wings, an extra portion of chips, and two sodas, which came to a total of 50 euros. A beer and mojito was 500 TL. While the food and service were fine, the major disappointment was the condition of the beach itself. The sand was quite dirty, littered with cigarette butts, empty crisp bags, straws, and other trash. Despite not being particularly busy during our visit, we noticed that all the sunbeds were occupied by midday, so it's worth arriving early if you want a spot.

Long Beach consists of 5 different Beaches...Silver Sands,Diamond Beach,Kumpsal beach and Star Beach.
The best one seems to be Kumpsal Beach where there are less stones under the water as you enter it. The hotel there has a nice quality beach side cafe where the food is above standard.

One of the things that we did as a small group (boys & girls, ages ranged from 16 to 54 years) in Kusadasi was go quad biking. We all immensely enjoyed this half day activity. Some of us got bikes on our own and some people shared. Quad biking was a wonderful way to leave the town of Kusadasi and explore Long Beach and also the nearby mountains.
We all took a nice steady pace which suited everyone (because we all know that quad biking can be very dangerous) especially along the main roads. We drove along Long Beach (and also went swimming!) and then into the mountains, where we mostly kept to the “road” so as not to destroy the foliage and wildlife.
Before we returned to the city, our guide took us to an open area and made us drive (one at a time) at speed through a deep wide muddy puddle … we were all soaking wet and muddy afterwards (from head to toe!)! The guide took some great photos of us (using our own cameras) driving though the puddle and then a group photo of us afterwards – a lovely memento of our enjoyable afternoon.
We did this in December (2007) so we did need a jacket (the guide gave some of us gloves) as it was fairly cold when you were driving at speed or when we were in the mountains. Also, be aware that whatever you wear will be completely covered in mud and muddy water, so perhaps do the quad biking at the end of your holiday (like we did).
Afterwards, we attracted a lot of attention walking through the hotel lobby … everybody wanted to know why we were muddy, wet and windswept! Very funny!
Because we did it off season, we didn’t meet any other tourists on our travels! The guide did admit that because of this, he spent more time with us and was a bit more unrestrained than he normally is … which was great for us!

We went to Long Beach near Kusadasi in April - loved it so much, we have been back twice more since! Long sandy beach, clear water, beach bars & cafes - great people, sun & food. Ali's bar, the Mare Restaurant does particularly good food, both turkish & western.

We went to Star beach 3 times, the staff are really helpful, the Loungers are so cheap and really comfortable, it was definitely one of the quietest areas of long beach, which was a bonus.
The sea is lovely and shallow for children.
We ate lunch in the cafe, great value, £25 for 5 of us with drinks and fruit.
There is a shower on the beach and grass area to get dressed away from the sand.
Did not want to try anyway else, this is perfect.
You can do camels rides here as well.
And people sell bread, corn and toffee apples on the beach.

We visited long beach today. We hooped on bus 7 from kusadasi centre for 3TL each, we were dropped off at the start of the beach and had a lovely stroll up, even went into the sea which was clean and just lovely! I would recommend this beach as the sea is rather shallow so you can go pretty far out and there isn't any fish or crabs around your feet just the odd bit of seaweed. The restaurant at the start of the beach that isn't on the beachfront is lovely, friendly and reasonably priced too (will be there for breakfast tomorrow).
There's 2 water sport kiosks along the beach which do jet skiing etc or you can just have a lovely walk up the beach taking in the fresh sea air :)

I visit Kusadasi at least once a year and this is by far my favorite beach. Although it may not be the cup of tea of many travelers, this beach has something special.
It is indeed very long. It is wide, sandy and clean. The sea is very blue in June and less blue in September, You can find sun loungers and sun umbrellas for rent or free.
The beach is suitable for families with children as well as for groups of friends wanting to have a good time. It is used both by the guests of the luxury hotels near by or by people who came all the way from Kusadasi town center, In order to get there you will have to take a local "dolmus" for a 10-15 minutes ride.
I personally love this beach because it is less crowded, therefore more private, because the water is so blue and it has that taste of wildness I search for.

Long Beach has a noisy end - where the hotels are, you cannot rest as they have music playing at a high volume and unable to walk between the packed sunbeds. Okay for some, but not for me. The other end of Long Beach is much quieter, a few beach bars/restaurants dotted around and much more space.

It is great to live most of the year near Long Beach. Winter or Summer it is wonderful to take long walks to the various magical small areas of the beach with such names as Diamond Sand Beach , Love Beach...Paradise Beach ..Silver Sand...Moonlight Bay ...all running into each other..you can decide to walk down as far as Davutlar or Guzelcamli and take a dolmus back to centrum for only 3 lira or walk up to the super new AVM American style shopping centre and browse to your hearts content in the many shops and eat a great meal in Yusef restaurant for as little as 30 lira for two and sit and drink the endless cups of coffee or Turkish tea they offer you free of charge after a delicious Turkish meal. There are also many wonderful restaurants along the sea front. The beach is clean and safe and not overcrowded in Summer like Ladies Beach. It tends to attract more Turkish tourists than European and is also much quieter and much much longer. You can get a dolmus from centrum there every fifteen minutes or so for 3 lira. I would recommend staying in one of the many hotels also in that area. Dont just take my word for it but visit there on one of the many sunny days we enjoy here in Kusadasi.

Hi we are travelling to Kusadasi in september and was wondering the best place to get off the Dolmus to visit the nicest parts of the beach. Just my wife and I travelling so a short walk from the Dolmus is no big deal.
Thanks
Chris

From Kuşadası you take the number 6 bus and you stay on until the very last stop. The Driver will call out Long Beach (or Star Beach as the locals call it) for two or three stops but don’t get off til the last one. You will know you are there as the bus arrives right on the beach and then turns around to make the return trip. Sun lounger with umbrella 15 TL. Beach is much quieter than Ladies Beach. It’s a long coastline and, at times, can be a bit breezy. This is usually welcome though on a warm day.

Going to kusadasi in a couple of weeks the sentido marina suites where at staying is long beach far from the hotel eg walking distance and how much are the sun beds to hire daily thank you

Why Long Beach? It's not walkable although you can get a Dolmus which would take 10 to 15 mins. There are beaches closer. A lot of the bars on Long Beach were removed early this year as the council began its clean up program on facilities built without proper permission.
