Easy to walk to this sarcophagus since it is located in the downtown area of the old town. The stone structure, whose original name means 'flesh eater', is in a very good state of preservation.

As you walk up the cobbled street of delightful shops - with many covered balconies, you can see the tomb at the top of the road. It stands out as it is the largest tomb of its kind that I have seen in Turkey. Alongside...More

We actually visited September 2015, but it's worth a look at this tomb. There's several that look like this scattered across many of the mountains and shore lines but this is by far one of the biggest. It's a short walk from the town centre...More

I had the best time here in this small town located in Southern Turkey. I took a sailboat ride along the coast to view the beautiful coves around the mountains!

If you are in Kas anyway, it is worth seeking this out amid the little streets ad stopping to read about its history. It is only a ten minute stop but take a look.

Lions Tomb is located in the heart of the resort town of Kas. Streets near the Lions Tomb resemble art gallery in the open air, a lot of designer shops and wonderful restaurants.

It's in the middle of the city of Kas it's at the top of the road from Barcelona bar. It's nice and has a good explanation of what it is. And also beautiful sculptures... it's worth the 15min to look at.

This attraction is not impressive by its size but by its fine construction, its interesting inscriptions and its age dating back to the 4th century BC. Definitely a must-see when in Kas.
