This is a good place to visit, if you want to have a look at Alanya's history. Also a good place to visit with children. Can be recommended and is worth a visit.

Impressive to see how they made a shipyard in ancient history. Plus one of the few places in Alanya that shows you anything of the Turkish heritage and culture in Alanya.

Shipyard of Alanya... Little bit kitschy...Lot of boat, tourists and big ships for those tourist :) Dont know why the are all inspired with Pirates of the Carribean though :-) Little bit kitschy

It was built by Seljukians in the 13th century. You can combine your visit to the Shipyard by visiting the Kizilkule/Reddish Tower. If your are interested in marine history, it would be a fascinating visit.
