Ataturk stayed only one day in Alanya and the family who owned the property donated it to be used as a museum. The house is in excellent condition and the displays not only gives information about the life of Ataturk but also gives you insight into the history and people of Alanya. The entrance is free as you do not... More

This is the hotel which Atatürk lived in when he was in Alanya. They have displayed in each room how they lived in Turkey in Atatürk's period of life. It was free of charge to go inside. If you are interested in Turkeys history, especially Alanyas history and important facts about Atatürk, is this museum something for you!

Quite a small museum not far from Damlatas caves, very cheap admission, not sure if we missed something, as we only looked around the ground floor? However, the exhibits were sensitively displayed and interesting to read about their history.

Interesting place where you find out a lot about Ataturk's visit to Alanya and good to go there. You find out what he did whilst he was there and people he met. I would say you should go there if you have an interest in Alanya's History as it is very interesting :)

A couple of things amazed me when I visited the Ataturk House: 1 - Admission was free (unusual in Turkey these days) 2 - I had thought that Ataturk had spent only one night in Alanya back in February 1935, but it turned out that he didn't even stay for that long, arriving in the port at 7.00 am and...
