Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This cave is unlike any I have visited before —it’s deep with a sharp decline. Some stairs are metal, while others are cement. Many steps are of different sizes, and the lighting does not adequately cover all of them! It is crucial to have comfortable shoes (not slippers!), good eyesight and some physical strength. I've seen people in their 20s sweating and breathing heavily after visiting this cave. I wouldn't recommend visiting with elderly people or small children.
On the positive side, the stalactites and stalagmites have beautiful and interesting shapes. However, the fear of slipping on the stairs in the darkness prevented me from fully enjoying them.

Stunning cave with wonderful formations. Also a nice place to get some rest from Alanya's heat - inside the cave the temperatures are significantly lower than outside (we visited in August). Definitely recommend!

Many reviews here, as well photos are wrong. Reviewers confuse these caves with Damlatas caves which are in the center of Alanya.
Dim Caves are some 15-20 min drive inland from Alanya. You can go there by an organized excursion, although it's far better to drive yourself there with a rented car.
In front is a parking lot, and few steps take you to the caves entrance.
Caves are pretty big (contrary to Damlatas downtown which is miniature) and you need around 45 min to walk them to the end and back. Terrific stalactites scenery along the way with great lighting.
Temperature is cool, very refreshing for mid-August, but for other seasons I'd advise warmer clothing.
After visiting the caves I'd suggest going down to Dimcay river, very scenic.

We went here as part of a tour. It is difficult to get to, high up a mountain, along a dusty road. The cave is awesome, with massive stalagmites and stalagmites. The walkways are steep and can be slippery. It is not advised for people with mobility problems or claustrophobia.

I have visited Dim cave a week ago. It's okay, not worth the hassle to be fair. we caught a bus no 10 to dim cayi cost now 11.00 lira. Then found that we had to catch a taxi to the caves, which cost 150 lira 1 way. The caves cost is 60 lira.
The caves are nice but like previously mentioned not the biggest, it took us about 30 mins, which was disappointing especially when it was a hassle to get there in the first place. The roads are winding and can be scary.
The caves may be better to visit as part of a tour.
There are lots and lots of steps so may not be the best for elderly and those with health issues.

If you have been to other similar caves, then you may (or may not) pass this cave. If it's your first time seeing this kind of cave, then it is very fun. If you have been to other caves (such as Zeus Cave in Crete), then you might not be that surprised.
It was approx 350m long and as there were lots of stairs, you don't need a jacket- it was quite warm as you had to climb the stairs.
Quite dark (of course it's slippery as it is a cave), so be careful. Yellow dim lights (in the photos you can see e.g blue lights too, but in reality, it's just very dark).
Price - 60TL for a grown-up. Parking fee 5TL. Quite expensive for Turkey for a quick visit. Took us approx 15 minutes.

Incredible examples of cave formations. These are the best I have ever seen. They are like art sculptures, and there are so many to see. Hauntingly beautiful, Wear non slip shoes and light clothes. Afterwards drive the circular route of the nearby lake and dam. Very pretty area with lush conifers covering the mountains.

Nice place to visit. To be honest the views outside are better than the cave itself. Stairs in the cave are very steep so it’s not for everyone. Very nice and cool inside. Sat and had a refreshing drink when we came out of the cave as it is a bit of a workout.
Taxis will. Stay and wait for you and take you back into Alanya. Should only take 30-45minutes to see all you want to see.
Well worth a visit.

Took an early trip to Dim cave.
Followed by Restuarant at Dim Cayi.
Myself and Wife dont like organised trip so we took a taxi who stayed with us for duration. £26 from 9am till 2pm.
Tip optional.
Anyway we thought cave was excellent.
80 lira entrance fee.
Because we were so early only a few people there.
We basically had cave to ourselves.
We were very impressed.
Thought it was very big.
Reminded me of being in a cathedral.
Lots of rock formations.
Enjoyed it but we were early.
If cave had been full of people might not have been same experience.
Get there early.
