Exciting, vibrant and full of photo opportunities

What is better than walking in the markets where the locals buy their food? Here you will find fresh vegetables, fresh fish, fresh cheese, fresh meat, chicken and other meats as well. The fish market is loud and quite amazing.

You will walk through alleys and alleys of pickle, groceries and it is amazing to stand back and take photos of the locals going about their normal shopping routines.

Excellent variety of fresh fish is available (seabass, seabream, cuttlefish, seafood, octopus etc...) as well as an excellent array of fresh vegetables. The market offers also local spices and many mouthwatering street food products...

Nice fruits and veg. Nice atmosphere and friendly traders. Not pensive but watch out at the prices on display and charged.

Fish! Fish! Fish!
Aug. 2017 • Couples
They have so much fish, and very fresh fish. Not live and swimming fish. But nevertheless bright red gills, clear eyes and shinny scales. Garoupers, mullets, snappers, small sharks, skates, and some unknown species. The vendors are obviously very proud of their fresh, opening the gills of the fish to show you how fresh they are. I love this place.

If you are a foodie, you will appreciate this place

THE place to go for fresh fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, cheese, olives, even plants for your garden...... all of which made me wish I had a kitchen so I could cook something, instead of my hotel, LOL. After being careful not to slip on the wet floor of the fish section, I sampled and picked up some cheese which goes nicely with Tunisian wine. Also bought some boxed dates which make nice gifts, and which looked fresher and were cheaper than those found in the supermarket.
