Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We wanted to go to a quiet beach after experiencing massive crowds on Patong Beach!!
Kalim Beach, is the next beach along, about a 20 minute walk or short TukTuk ride. It cost us 200 bhat to get there and we walked home. When we arrived, we had the beach to ourselves, it was beautiful.
Crystal clear waters, white sand which much larger grain (making it easier to brush off) and absolutely no hassle!!
It is a little rocky in places when heading into the sea, so keep your flip flops on!! Once you're in, it's beautiful!!
We ventured across the road to get drinks from the supermarket, leaving all our belongings behind!
There were food and drink stalls along the road very near by which was lovely. Very cheap, fresh food. We bought bubble tea for just 20 bhat which was very refreshing!
Would highly recommend this beach if you're looking for somewhere away from the huddle and bustle of the more popular beaches!

From the Patong Beach sign at Patong Beach (not the sign on Patong Beach on the Roundabout), it takes 20mins to walk to Kalim beach.
Walk along the beachfront was lovely and pleasant. Away from the shops, restaurants, massage parlours and taxi men, on the opposite side of the road is Loma Park, which not much of a traditional park per se. But, this path is paved and away from the sandy beach. You do have to dodge the bikes though.
The pavement was lined with stalls of food and juice stand.
It was mouth-watering walking through these beachfront stalls.
However, upon reaching Kalim beach which was significantly quieter, it was pleasant.
There was nothing superb here but it was peaceful and much more relaxing. There was no activity here, just a dozen swimmers, bathers and watchers. There was no husslers, walking-vendors or anyone selling anything here. Which meant no deck chairs either.
There was only one restaurant on the edge of the beach and that was enough. There was no cover, so sun-worshippers will love this beach if you prefer quiet and peaceful scenes.
All in all, a nice beach to do safe climbing around the rockery and rock pool when bored with swimming or barging.

This is the best place for you to have your dinner and at the same time watch the Sunset.
There are Thai Halal street foods available for those muslim travellers.
And the most best part of it, ITS CHEAP!!
I big fish is at 250 thai bhat (SGD$8).
Please do visit this place if you are going to stay in Patong Area.

Great for family with young kids, when we were here the waves were really small. It's just a few feet away from hotels.
No to almost no vendors bothering you while you are relaxing.
There are some rocks but if you go just few hundred feet to the left of the rocks, it's quite nice.
Overall exactly what we were looking for.

Brilliant place to chill after a whole day of traveling. Street food just by the beach. Mats and tables are provided just by the sea wall. How could you not love savoring the freshest grilled seafood and hearing the waves crashing beside you. The cool and fresh breeze make this spot my no 1 go to place for dinner.

We went to Kalim Beach during dinner for halal street food. We tried maggie salad with mango. Super delicious! Spicy + sour + sweet! We also tried grill squid. Both the squid and sauce are fantastic. There are also mango with sticky rice, tomyam, fried rice, grill fish and a lot more local food. Price is very cheap for the great taste. Variety of drinks too. My friend tried thai ice tea. She said it is not too sweet like other thai ice tea ever tasted. Perfect taste. If i come to phuket again, i definitely go there again! 😍😍😍 delicious local food!!!!

Whilst exploring the Phuket island, we came across Kalim beach and the many street vendors set up there with Halal signs on every single one of them. The ladies who were at majority of the stalls were all wearing scarves and you definitely felt comfortable knowing they were Muslims catering for Halal eating. It was mega busy so we knew it would be good, we parked up and walked up and down all the stalls several times before actually ordering anything, such were the options on offer.
We ordered Tom Yum soup from one stall, and it was the best Tom Yum soup we had in the whole of Thailand and we had tried a few. We had a burger from another stand which cost 50 baht, I mean what a bargain. There were plenty of desserts for after and it was just awesome. The stalls had set up seating right behind them next to the beach and ocean, and the experience was surreal. Having your fresh food cooked with love on one side, and the beach and ocean waves crashing on the other. What more do you want, breathtaking experience and enjoyed it so much we went back the following evening. The vendors remembered us and were so happy to see us, and so humble. It felt like the stalls were there livelihoods, and they didn’t seem well off or anything. The food was so cheap it was difficult to understand what they actually made, we loved the hospitality so much we paid double for the food as it was definitely worth it.
Thai people are so friendly and make you feel so welcome. It you want good quality Halal street food, look no further.

Kalim Beach a bit rocky, but beautiful non the less. It is right next to Patong beach. Near Kalim beach you can find street food and you can see amazing sunsets.
