Worth the drive. Gives perspective to Phuket’s mining history. Many old photos & artefacts that really paint a picture. A nice calm way to spend an hour. Maybe save this one for a rainy day.

This was ok, but nothing impressive about it (apart from the building and the surrounding nature which were very nice). The museum itself was empty when we visited and whilst some effort went into it, a lot more is needed to make this worth a...More

A little distance to travel to but if you have the time..why not. A mansion that gives a Sino-Portugese feel. I don't quite see it as a mining museum with minerals etc but rather how mining started and how the Chinese came to Phuket. Good...More

I'm not sure how this museum came about. But, it is not the best museum, but it is good. It's not full of flashy things but it does what it is supposed to, in teaching you about Phuket's long and difficult mining history. Don't take...More

Had a dinner organised here for an extremely large group. I think that they had trouble with coping with the numbers. The service was pleasant but slow. The facilities were average and the food was not bad but there was not enough to serve the...More

The displays in the museums are disappointing - very limited and old fashioned However the building itself is a nice colonial Sino-Portugese building located in a fairly large green area. It is nice to see the grandeur of this place and would make for a...More
