    Lovely beach
Lovely secluded beach. Tried to find free path down to beach but got lost. Had to therefore pay 100 B/ person to use planned pathway with steps. Waves +++ so be warned. Definitely worth a visit.

    Photo book beach
Lovely Beach. You can grab drinks directly there. I'd recommend to go there via the Lek Sand Beach bar as you don't have to pay for the entry there and you get down to the beach in about 20min from there. But where proper shoes for the walk down

    Stunning 🤩
Stunning little beach about 20 minutes by longboat from Patong. Can also be accessed by tuk tuk and foot, but longboat (2000 Baht for 4 people) was a great experience. Water deep and crystal clear - no comparison to Patong Beach. Thai food and fruit drinks available on beach. Don’t miss it.

    Love Beach
Beautiful view. Especially at sunset. The course paths are nicely laid out. what they only forget in Thailand is when you build something, you also have to maintenance it. I fear that this place will be very neglected in a few years.

Nice beach but paid access staff aggressive.
A lovely beach. The only negative was the aggressive staff at the paid access. We wanted to see if the free access was ok but the taxi would only take us to the paid access and then the staff hounded us and told us that there wasn’t a free access and even followed us and showed us text on their phone which pretended to be a website stating that the only way to get in was via the paid access. The free entrance is a bit further up the hill and is a bit steep in places but perfectly good for youngsters. A nice beach though and worth the walk.

Beautiful beach , clear water , lovely sounds but too many people there for me , not so secret anymore. More commercialised . And swimming is limited due to huge rocks in the sea . Preferred Banana Beach less crowded more natural but sand is not as nice .

    Not so crowded
Nicely spent day on this hidden beach. Great location and local street food. We tried also jet ski there. Great choice to avoid lots of people.

Great beach, challenge to get to.
Freedom Beach is beautiful. The Pros are it’s great for snorkelling and fantastic for a chilled out day at the beach. The cons are getting to it. There is a free entrance on the south side that can be accessed by searching for Lek Beach Bar in google maps. There’s plenty of parking for cars and motorcycles. The climb down is very challenging and steep in places. There are another two paid entrances with slightly better steps but we didn’t use these so can’t comment too much.

Beautiful beach - mind the jellyfish
Most beautiful beach, very chill vibes. I got stung by a jellyfish when only in the sea for 2 minutes so be careful, they were also washed up on the sand so try not to tread on them. The hike both down and up is a bit crazy, not for disabled or older people I would not recommend but even though those 2 things I still rate 5/5 and no regrets going!! It was just so beautiful.

    Perfect beach 🏖️
A nice clean beach to visit, has changed over the years since I was last there. Much more busier, but every thing is now. Catch a long boat from Patong beach for around $1500 Bht. Return. Cold drinks are available and there is a small restaurant. Not sure about toilets as I didn’t see any signs!!!

One of the most beautiful beaches you can get in Phuket! This hidden beaches was not so commercialized!
Meaning not that crowded comparing to other beach like Patong Beach or even Karon Beach.

To reach here will be abit inconvenient. Need to hike for 10-15min , up and down hill .
But you can pay the fees to take 4x4 ride !
Best you may join the ATV.

Beaches is hidden between 2 Clift. You can take a very good photos and the sea wave is higher compared to Patong beach.

For those who stay nearby, may come over.

I don't tend to leave reviews but I felt that this I needed to.
We went exploring down the west coastal of phuket by taxi and saw freedom beach advertised as a must see beach in phuket so planned it into our trip.
You arrive down a track to the top of the path that leads down to the beach.
There is a pickup which will take you down as it is quite steep. The price is 300 baht per person for a 15 min walk so we chose to walk down through the jungle which was nice. Lizards, butterflies etc.
On approaching the beach there is litter everywhere, not only discarded by tourists, there were signs telling people to take litter away with them but this isn't happening.
The pickup returns empty so could organise removing bags of rubbish to a skip at the top.
Anyway, a beautiful beach spoilt by litter.
Which could be amazing.
Somebody in the council of phuket please organise a tidy up.
From Jonathan and family x4 with kids.

Just amazing! Way down is not the easiest, but still possible to be made with comfortable shoes, even in the for free version. Clear water, amazing experience.

Worst location beach & many seedy characters that go there from Patong seedy hub

Absolutely over rated worst dangerous walk to get to the bottom where the beach is.

Full of rocks as entering the water god knows how many time my toes got chopped.

Not much shade due to lack of trees so if u plan a nice quite day & get a good spot cause u choose to go there early…
Forget it cause once the French Arabs from patong come to the beach they will invade yr privacy & space just so they can get shade @ any cost.

I was virtually ambushed by 2 arrogant French Arab families with many yelling kids that had absolutely no respect for my space.

Almost got into a fight with the man after explaining there attitude showed no respect towards me enjoying a peaceful day whilst on holiday.

Screaming kids that are not controlled by the parents in public confined spaces is unacceptable as it shows they have to regard for any1 else’s.

Go to banana beach it’s easy to get to there’s no scum there as it’s in a good area next to Bangtoa bay.

This is a beautiful beach and lovely place to visit . The walk down and back can be challenging, especially in the heat. However the issue I had was the amount of rubbish and plastic in the water and beach . It’s insane as this could be resolved if the beach restaurant and other vendors decided to employ 1 or 2 people to collect the rubbish daily and if they had some bins at the steps when leaving the beach I feel would cure part of the problem, unfortunately people are making a living from the beach without respecting it.

Freedom beach is really beautiful, we were a group of 5 and we caught a long tail boat over and the driver picked us up to bring us back in the afternoon. This cost us 1200 baht so a bit over 50 AUD.

The beach itself was lovely, we found the beers on the reggae beach bar colder and cheaper than the bar itself. The guy there was nicer too.

Shade was limited on the beach.

Amazing!! Worth all the effort it takes to get there and get out. It becomes a bit crowdy after 1 pm but still survivable. Be aware of jelly fish
