Lot of selections for beach wears & amenities with good pricing if you know how to bargain! Also a great place to chill & dine with many bars, cafes & restaurants all around.

Patong beach and the area is very lively, not the place to come for peace and quiet, but it is still a beautiful beach.

The beach is long and sandy. Walking the whole distance revealed that you find things in segments. So you have a place where there are offering jet ski renting or other water activities, you have area where you can lie down on the sand and...More

It’s too crowded in Patong Beach, perhaps due to some bars nearby. Few Operators offer jet ski, parasailing, etc. The sand is not as beautiful as Karon beach. For couples, maybe it’s a good place. But not for family with young children. I would prefer...More

We stayed an hour and got the hell out of there. The water is murky, brownish, shallow and infested with ski jets. Every 100 meter there is space allocated for only water sports. While walking a few meter to find a spot to put a...More

I would have given the beach full marks because it is so central and the lovely food stalls all along the beach, but the only thing kept me back is the noise of the traffic from the street. Well, you can’t have your bread buttered...More

Must see. Can be crowded at times though. Best time is after 2:00pm and before 7:00pm to avoid the peak rush - Lunch and dinner both unless you want to have one there.

You can ask the island hopping tours if they have cave tour. So far we haven't encountered any cave in our tour, except during the island hopping tour - viking cave/island which you would have to look from a distance

Not sure officially, but there are some brave types. My wife will not allow me to investigate closer. In general terms, nudity is frowned on in Thailand; bit of a double standard when you see what happens in the bars and... More
