Short visit to an unusual place but I was not impressed and to be fare I would not recommend this his place. Yes they have there mosque, hospital and floating football pitch but the place is very run down and unclean. If you go on any boat tours take your photos as you sail past and spend your time on... We visited this place for our lunch stop on a part of james bond island tour. This is fully a muslim village . All are floating house. Even there is a floating football ground also. There is school , mosque and markets for gifts. Few floating restaurants also there. Food was ok type.

Although the concept of a floating village is interesting and there was some potential, the actual experience was quite depressing. The village consisted of shop after shop of the same cheap trinkets you'll find at any other souvenir stand. The residents sat looking sullen (far from the happy faces other reviewers mentioned) and it felt like a lesson on poverty... More

We visited this village in our tour to Phang Nga Bay. It was interesting how they build whole village for these years. Many buildings like school, mosque even playgrounds were built, I think floating. We had vegetarian lunch and I must say it was good. With Indian taste I thought it will lack some spice and taste but it did... More

We stopped on our tour to James Bond Island for a quick walk (no lunch). Our guide said there is no canal system, so around 1600 people who live there go to the toilet directly into the ocean every day. The smell and dirt below the houses was gruesome... unbelievably dirty!! Mud, trash, doors, plastic, bikes... I have not seen... More

I went here as part of a tour to James Bond island. This was interesting and the school was very cool to see especially for my children. The food was fabulous, however the rest of it was just a floating market which was not of any really interest. Worth a visit but don't expect more than that.

We visited the village as part of our day trip to see James Bomd island via speed boat. We had lunch int the village. Lunch was very good and well organised. The view is spectacular and place is worth a visit. The food is very good particularly the sea food. No alcohol is allowed in the village. The village shop... More
