The huge place contains ancient Khmer temple ruins which lies at the western most among the others. Influenced by the Khmer civilization, locals constructed and tried to imitate Bayon style Mahayana Buddhist temples after the reign of the great Khmer king Jayavarman VII around 800 years ago. Although the place is vast, it contains only 2 ruins and 1 little museum. Also, the place was damn hot, despite having many trees. However, the place was clean, tranquil and well maintained. We enjoyed strolling around, taking photos and buying souvenirs (models of Prasat Muang Singh).
Even this place can't compare with the famous Angkor Wat, it's still worth a visit for ones who like this kind of architecture. Admission fee was 20 baht for Thai or 100 baht for foreigner (plus 50 baht for car / 30 baht for motor tricycle / 20 baht for motorcycle / 10 baht for bicycle).

As we were stopping near to Kanchanaburi anyway, decided to have a drive here & check it out. Quite enjoyable & when we visited the place was almost deserted, so we could take our time & have a really good look around.
It was built as a religious Temple containing many artefacts from the Bayon Khmer period, strongly resembling those in Angkor Wat in Cambodia.
The Park consists of 4 monuments & also a small display room.
We spent between 1-2 hours here & that is plenty of time to walk round & have a good look at everything.

We drove to the site of the ruins which were not far from Kanchanaburi town (15 minutes). The ruins are in a large park with various facilities and gardens, and on the afternoon of our visit we virtually had the place to ourselves. At the entrance gate you receive a brochure with an explanation of the various ruins. Most are nothing more than the foundations of long lost buidlings, but the main building has been reconstructed and there are 2 impressive statues, which photographed beautifully. I wandered around the ruins and read the descriptions in the brochures and with a little imagination you can get a feel for what it all may have been like. I read that these structures are the western most ruins of the Khmer empire in Thailand. Fascinating! It would be best to visit these ruins on the way to or from soemwhere else as it would only really take a relatively short amount of time to see everything.

We were really surprised! We came to site in the morning as one of the first tourists. The temple is nice, of medium size, but what is much better is the whole complex itself. The walls, the grounds, the river next by. A great stop for 2-3 walk. Do not expect to see Angkor Wat, but you can taste the feeling ;) a bit.

If you have never visited Cambodia's famed temples, this small site is an interesting example of Khmer architecture.

This is an attractive place to visit in a large park. The ruins are Khmer and give a very tiny taste of the Angkor Wat complex.

Mueang Sing Historical Park is an excellent place to visit for history lovers! It is not as impressive as Siam Reap temples obviously, but it is in the same style and it is always interesting to visit ruins and it changes a bit from the other things people can visit in Kanchanaburi. It is relatively small but you can walk til the river from there and see another small sites where archaeological discoveries were made with few explanatory boards.

Nice Khmer temple ruins, as mentioned previously does not compare with Ayuttaya or Ankor Wat but still nice ruins, If you get upset over dual pricing just stay in the car and get your wife to buy the tickets instead of not recommending a historic temple because you cant afford 100 baht :)

What time does this attraction close? Or are the entry fee and opening hours only for certain temple grounds while the rest of the park is open 24 hours for viewing?
