We went there with a toddler and a baby. We just can't believe that our 6 months old baby has to pay to see the upper floor of the palace!

a lot of people get this mixed up with Klai Kang which is where the Royal family has residence -- you will never get in there. Now other reviews talk about the renovations -- it is fair to say that these will go on for a very long time. But from a building and history perspective, this palace was before... More

The palace grounds are worth visiting. The palace is still under renovating. The rules are clear: do not take photo's upstairs and wear descent clothes. You have to pay extra for a visit from the upper floor. So we do not understand why you can not make pictures there, it is the same as the underfloor. Only a few rooms... More

We were staying at the Cera Resort hotel in the nearby village of Bhan Kwai and decided to take a stroll to the palace which we were told was within walking distance. In fairness, if you know where you are going, it probably is, but as there were no sign posts anywhere, I relied upon an online map which actually... More

The palace was commissioned by King Vajiravudh to serve as a holiday villa. The architecture is simple, showcasing Italian and British interior design, it's a good place to submerge yourself into the history and architecture of the villa, but in a nutshell the place didn't seem interesting in any way, and I won't advise you to put this place in... Lovely place which is certainly worth a visit. The gardens are well maintained and you'll find plenty of information on the history of the palace... sadly, only in Thai.

Great way to spend 2-3 hours. Beautiful property and grounds. A few tips to note: 30B entrance fee to grounds, 30B additional to access the building second level. Ground level is only support columns, it is the second level that was utilized. No maps or printed handouts. I asked and was given a personal, private complimentary tour. The young lady... More

If palaces and grand architectures are your thing, this can be added to your list. Good photo opportunities. The elevated section requires payment, so we did not go up during this particular trip - which we later regretted.

Worth visiting for a few hours, but make sure your knees are covered. They are quite strict about it (it is possible to rent a cover up though). Also, it is worth buying the more expensive ticket, which gets you the entry to the upstairs rooms of the palace. The palace is quite unusual with its pastel colours, it is... More
