Where do we begin with the incredible service we received from Majestic Kilimanjaro and their team? From beginning to end, their guidance, professionalism and service was top-notch. We began planning with owners Steve and Tumaini in early 2020 and they were with us every step of the way as we made decisions about our trek to the Kilimanjaro summit and 5-day Safari. Our family of four (parents and two grown children) took the Lemosho route with lead guide Kefas and his support guide, Leo, in December of 2020. Our crew of 21 porters and guides safely lead us to the summit and made the trek so enjoyable and comfortable along the way. Whatever you need help with – they’ll carry your pack or even help tie your shoes – 5-star service at every turn. The entire staff was so incredibly kind, thoughtful and the hardest working people you’d ever meet. Even the chef is 5-star! They served incredible coursed meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner. From pizza to fish and chips (and everything in between) its remarkable what they’re able to cook on this trek. Absolutely delicious. They ensure you’re prepared with all the gear you need and have equipment for rent should you forget something or need a better quality product for the elements. Helping fill your water packs each day and even helping zip up and pack all your gear – they are there for everything. We opted for a private toilet and it was worth it! Even when the trek got challenging, Kefas and Leo were there to provide incredible support and encouragement – they really care and want you to succeed. The guides speak incredible English as do several of the porters. But they even taught us a few words in Swahili which was great. It was important to us to work with an outfitter that cares and provides well for their porter crew. Majestic is KPAP certified to ensure good wages and comfortability for their porters. Even during the off season, Majestic is there for their team. Offering many porters free English lessons and even courses to help them become guides. Operating as a nonprofit, Majestic has deep roots in the Arusha community and is committed to giving back. After successfully reaching the summit, a couple days later we embarked on a 5-day safari with Majestic Kilimanjaro to Tarangerie National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and The Serengeti. Our guide and driver was named Goodluck and he was absolutely fantastic. Not only a good and safe driver, but was full of knowledge and expertise about the land and wildlife. He had an incredible sense of humor and was a joy to be with for 5-days. Majestic selected great lodging for us along the way, too. Tumaini arranged all our airport transfers and even went above and beyond when we were in Arusha at the hotel to help arrange car service for any needs we had in town (laundry, pharmacy, atm, etc.). He was also super helpful to arrange COVID tests for us in Arusha, and even personally meeting us at the hospital to make sure everything went smoothly. We absolutely loved Tanzania and our Kilimanjaro and safari adventures with Majestic. But our favorite part really was the people we met on the Majestic team. Their kindness, helpfulness and passion for their region and country was so heart-warming. We recommend them fully 100% - you will be glad you chose them as your partner!

Majestic Kilimanjaro came highly recommended and did not disappoint. From the thorough pre planning and instructions we received before we got to Tanzania all the way to the summit, they provided step by step coaching and instruction. Despite Covid restrictions, Tumaini Sandi and his team of experts made sure we were safe, informed, and ready for the adventure. Kefas, our lead guide is one of the most experienced guides you will find and will make sure you have the best chance at summitting safely. He has 20 years on this mountain and will help tailor the trek for you from food, gear, routing, and of course safety. Deo, our other guide was equally capable and his positive attitude helped get us to the top. If you want the best, choose Majestic Kilimanjaro and ask for Kefas and Deo to take you to this 19,351' summit.

Our three man team representing the Johnny Mac Soldiers Fund Non-Profit Organization successfully completed the Kilimanjaro Summit. It was an experience of a lifetime. From the initial coordination with Tumaini, to the summit with Kefas and Deo (our guides), the support was exceptional. Due to COVID, there were many changes to flights, lodging and timelines, all of which we overcame due to the responsive staff (Tumaini) of Majestic Kilimanjaro. The guides were excellent, we felt safe at all times and Kefas and Deo continually monitored our progress, allowing us to complete the summit a day ahead of schedule. The support team was first class - accommodations, daily briefs and outstanding meals prepared by James the Chef, made for an amazing trip. All were true professionals. In addition, the guides were able to pass pictures and updates back to Jumaini who updated a daily journal on the Majestic Kilimanjaro Facebook page so our JMSF supporters could follow the journey.

From arrival to departure, this trip exceeded my high expectations. Tumaini’s commitment to a high level of service was evident in all aspects, not the least of which was his selection of guides and the expeditionary team. Kefas (lead guide) and Deo (second guide) were outstanding! They communicated, set and managed expectations for each days’ trek, and were very attune to each client’s mental and physical condition and adapted appropriately with pace (Pole Pole)! Phenomenal experience and I highly recommend this group if you are considering a trip to summit Mount Kilimanjaro.

We had a phenomenal trip to Tanzania last September thanks to Majestic Kilimanjaro! Tumaini was so helpful from the early stages of planning our safari to picking us up at the airport and everything in between. He was very thorough and prompt at answering all our questions. He took care of every detail from the moment we stepped off the plane in JRO until we left Tanzania. He planned the perfect trip for us! Our safari guide, Benjamin, was the best! His knowledge and expertise really made this trip the best we have ever taken. He was so great at spotting all the animals and knew the best places to find them. We saw two leopards the first day! Benjamin took excellent care of us on safari. The vehicle was clean and well stocked with water every morning. He knew we were especially interested in big cats so he made sure we saw so many lions and cheetahs! We would recommend that you request him for your Guide! We spent two days in the Northern Serengeti, two days in the Central Serengeti, one day at Ngorongoro Crater, and one day in Tarangire. The tented camps were fantastic. Everyone was so kind and the meals were delicious. We also spent one day in a Maasai Lodge learning about the Maasai culture and really enjoyed the experience. We cannot thank Majestic Kilimanjaro, Tumaini, and Benjamin enough for such a fabulous time in Tanzania!
