This was a really awesome, unique place to stay. It is owned/run by Mama Snake who is a cool lady. She and her late husband created the place from scratch a number of years ago. Her late husband was a doctor who started a free clinic there, for snake bite victims.
They have a small area where you can get a tour and see a number of different snakes, other reptiles and a few birds. Our guide was very informative and it was cool to learn about the different types of snakes.
There is a wide open field to camp. We got to stay in the rooms which were nice and clean. The bathrooms are in a building just down from the rooms which were also well maintained and clean.
The bar is really cool. Mama Snake will be your bartender. There are a lot of different choices of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Beware of the Mama's Revenge shots...they burn.
Just outside the snake park there is a small museum of Masai culture for which you can get a guided tour of as well (15-20min). This was very interesting to learn about their culture. There are also some huts that have Masai women who sell homemade jewelry and other trinkets. Be prepared, there is a whole row of them, we only saw the first one at the front and felt bad we spent all our money there instead of spreading it around. There are also camels that you can pay to ride ($1usd pp). They seem to be well taken care of, but just be prepared it's a short ride of about 200 meters round trip with a guide leading the camel.
Make sure you have tips ready for the Snake Park guide and Masai museum guide.

The Meserani snake park is a must visit if your are in Arusha region. They have all varieties of snakes which are home in Tanzania. You can visit the Masai museum and a cattle market next to the park. There is a wonderful bar with good food.
The donate a lot of money to the local community and help the Massai with a clinic

Very good guided snakes park - one hour stop on the way to safari world. Very interesting facts about snakes and their behaviour. Worth to visit and learn some new info about local snakes. Also recommend to visit Masai Museum nextdoor.

We love snake park. Ma, Bj, Deon and the rest of the staff are just amazing. A truly unique place. We feel at home whenever we go. The bar is fantastic and the food good and very cheap. You can learn a lot about snakes and they run an incredible project. Worth visiting and staying!

The guides here are amazing. They will walk you through and tell you so much about the local snakes. At the end if you are willing, you can touch a snake, and even put it around your neck if you dare! A fun and educational couple of hours.

Don’t ever never go there. Tickets are 20 dollars but I don’t mind about that. It is animal torture. Big snakes are in small cages and other animals too. And plants in snakes’s cafes are partly fake. So horrible. Few snakes, few reptiles and birds in so small space. I don’t understand why anyone should go there. Never again.
