We toured the Ngorongoro Crater as part of a OneSeed Expeditions trip, and the crater was a wonderful part of the trip. Lots of animals, diverse regions within the crater. The hippo pool near one of the only restroom locations was especially beautiful and cool...More
Ngorongoro crater visit is a mind blowing experience. The variety of fauna in the crater is incredible. The best moment was when we spotted the two horned rhino!! Coming up close to lions and elephants was really wonderful!! A must visit game drive when you...More
It an incredible area to visit and experience. We visited a Masai Boma, always interesting and a little challenging in terms of the balance between authenticity and modern changes, and had a great drive around the crater, which was beautiful. We got us close and...More
The crater was an incredible experience - literally packed with animals. We spotted 16 different animals in just half a day in their natural environment - including elephants. The drive is fairly strenuous because of the condition of the roads but well worth it.
We did a one day game drive in the crater specially to look for rhinos. But, I never expected the diversity of wildlife that we saw. So many large birds, baboons, giraffe, and of course the rhino. Must do on a safari.
We visited a number of parks but Ngorongoro Crater is a must just to get the view of the crater and to see this cradle of wildlife biodiversity!
The night before, we stayed at Simba campsite on the crater rim and were paid a visit...More

The entrance fee cost to enter the ngorongoro conservation area is about 80$ per 24h and per Person. However, you need a 4x4 car and have to know the way (there are very little indications in the NCA to find your way) and be sure your car will not have any problem : you can not get out of it during safari !!
I would really recommend to go with a local driver. I can recommend serengeti big cats safari agency which is great and not to expensive.
