With a nice pair of walking shoes and a good pair of strong leg for climbing up the stairs of two pagodas, you will see the beautiful serenity lake. It is believed that walk in thru the dragon mouth and out from the tiger mouth create the best of luck for you. Do as the local does, it's fun.

I'd been wanting to see these in person for several years and recently had the chance. Fortunately it wasn't very crowded during our visit, so we could take our time in the towers. The climb is tight and steep, but the view is spectacular and well worth the effort. It's free to visit, but I have a small donation upon... More

Peaceful, climb to the top of the towers and enjoy the view. Many people enjoying the area, sailing, water sports. Lots of fish and turtles along the shoreline.

Though there water lots of fables and stories behind those paintings inside the pagodas, it was not really attractive, and would not lift up one's vision after climbing up the pagoda. It just reflected the worshipped culture in Kaohsiung.

Adding some colours to your photo album. Apart from the 2 Stars - Dragon & Tiger, another good viewpoint is up the Pagoda. Climb the stairs up, you see a good view of the Lotus Lake and afar, another pretty Dragon (Spring & Autumn Pavillion) and further, a Giant Statue of a Warrior (Beiji Xuantian Shangdi)

These were quite unexpected, we didn't go inside, but they looked interesting from outside. The entrance was through giant dragon and tiger mouths.

Quite frankly a boring attraction. The best part is the view from atop of the pagodas. Not recommended unless you have no other options.

If you know about Asia old stories, you would recognize them on the hall walk inside the tower. I don't know what is the English name of the art that use ceramic to build. But it's an traditional Asia thing to experience.
