Large campus, better use a scooter to tour it. Not much to see for tourists, ended up in the library's cafe with a view over the main lake (cheap and good set for lunch, plus a powerful air-conditioning to cool you down)

Nice place to check out, if one has the time. The food street from railway to main door of university, boasts lots of inexpensive food eateries, where its mostly students. Decent outdoor and indoor swimming pools.

We had a meeting at Dong Hwa. Its is nice campus in the middle of nowhere, and thus interesting to drive by. However it does not offer visitors any experience beyond the bookstore and cafe

How fortunate those teachers and students live here are. Being the biggest campus in Taiwan, surrounded by high mountains and some ponds, NDHU keeps attracting tourists from everywhere. The picture-like landscape won't disappoint you.Guarantee it.

I spent three weeks at National Dong Hwa University. The campus is beautiful, 6 km around the exterior and surrounded by mountains. It is a half hour bus ride to Hualien City. From the campus one can easily visit Taroko National Park.

Went there with my family (3 kids) to spend the morning in Hualien before taking an afternoon train away. We took the free bus number 301, which goes between rail station and the university. What a wonderful campus scenery it was... spacious surroundings, huge buildings,...More

It was nice to walk around the campus and see all the student events. Sitting by the lake having lunch was very enjoyable.

Largest university campus in Taiwan. Take a 15min ride round campus to see how large the place is and the accommodation of the lecturers. Can skip this place if not keen with campus.

For a campus, scenery was stunning... campus with mountains and mist in the backdrop. A bit out of the way though to visit it ...

The area is so pretty, the setting is very nice and quiet. A full fledged university in the Hua Lian area. Approximately 2 hours away from Taipei, Taiwan.
