Four of us went to visit and have lunch! It is the traditional place, hot, loud, and busy! We did find a place with air condition to sit down and ordered food from 4 different Vendors. We're pleased at what we have, especially the Hsinchu rice noodles with beef.

If you are in Hsin Chu - the Cheng Huang Temple is a must visit! Not only for the cultural sites but also to taste the real Taiwanese "street food". Very famous are the meat or fishball soups and the Hsin Chu rice noodles! You can also get everything as take away.

Many eatery at this part of the "old town" all selling the famous meat balls and rice noodle. No lack of choices... Temple has very nice lanterns during the Chinese New Year period still on display even in March.
