This is but a small piece of Palmyra, but is a lovely example of Roman influence in the region. I cannot attest to it's condition or accessibility at this time.

Hardly any visitors early April 2011 so very quiet in the Theatre and no locals dancing or playing music. Good view of surrounding area from the theatre.

There was a small fee to enter the temple, but it is worth it. The theatre is in excellent condition, and is the best building in the Palmyra ruins. If you climb to the top of the ampitheatre, there are good photo opportunities over the...More
