The exterior and interior of the church is very simple but the gravestones (with skull and crossbones) are interesting to read and tell of the history of Galle - those that moved here from Holland/England. There was someone inside who is happy to answer questions and told us about the crypt which you can see but not go into (steps... More

Nothing special to see this old reformed church, a typical reformed church but if you love history then see.

This is one of the old churches in the town. Loads of old gravestones on the floor inside which are interesting. Inside is fairly simple.

My first visit to such an old church. Built in 1755. Many Dutch & British people's grave inside with details. Not much to see inside though

Graceful and austere, a sobering interlude away from the heat and noise of the citadel. Check out the tomb of Edmund Buckle, who died alone a long way from friends and family, a long time ago.

This place is packed with Dutch & Anglo Saxon history and reminded me of the churches in my country. There is one guy who oversees the church and he has interesting stories to tell. The graveyard is worth a visit.

This church is very interesting subject to see when you walk in history of Galle. It is located really near the entrance to the Galle fort. Despite the fact that the foundation stone was laid in the year 1682, the Church, from different reasons, was built in 1755 by Dutch Commandeur of Galle Casparus de Jong and his wife according...
