One of the various sights to see on a half day stroll around the fort area with its gem shops, restaurants (not all serve alcohol), guest houses, hotels, museums and the like.

walking down the lanes of the walled city of galleries was stunningly beautiful. most are cobblestoned. lovely antique shops, quaint cafes, and beautiful monuments. definitely walk around on the parapet walls. the lighthouse has a lovely view.

Yes, this lighthouse is stunning. Our guide told us that the mid 19th century lighthouse was destroyed by fire and that this is a replica. We would have liked to look inside.

Great views of the light house and lovely area for a swim A little bit steep and rocky to walk around but its a must while in galle

Okay, travelling along any coast will inevitably show lighthouses. And it's the same along the Galle ramparts: You come across a lighthouse. Nice, but nothing to make an extra effort (and you don't have to)
