Visited one evening and had the opportunity to release 3 baby turtles back into the sea. Had no problem paying the 2,000 rupees as a donation. A place I would go back to.

The entrance fee is 1000rs but its worth doing something to those poor turtles some of them have conginital anomalies and others have injuries caused by fishing nests. All in all i found it worth it to help out with your entrance fee.

Small conservation project, run with commitment and passion. More handling of the turtles than we would normally see in UK, but felt relaxed and controlled. Lovely visit - well worth it 😊

There are many Turtle conservation centers throughout the drive from Hikadua to Bentota. We learnt a lot about different varieties of turtles and saw and touched few day old babies and huge hadicapped/ injured turtles. It is a nice experience.
