Some may say.. it's just a small tower but you need to dive in that time .. 7th century and think about the observation they made.. pretty impressive

This was a very interesting stop. We spend an hour going around the park like facility. The signs are dual lauange which is very helpful.

A very very old monument which was known as an ancient observatory, but still under debate what it really is. Not of a big size, but it's one of the representative sight in Gyeongju.

Really the pictures say it all- ancient observatory. That is it, one small structure. Couple of photos, read the write up and you’re done. Might as well see it if you are already wandering in that direction but nothing to stress over if you miss...More

Went with a guided tour, just a short stopover. The place is full of dandelions and my kid enjoyed blowing them. Were told that there are 362 stones used to make it. When we arrived nothing much, just some photo taking. The "observatory" is so...More

It is near to Anapji pond and about fifteen minutes walk from one another. The place is great for walking and photo taking.
