This is a lovely area to explore and to learn about the Silla Dynasty. The burial mounds are actually scattered throughout the town which I found fascinating. Walk among the royals of the Silla dynasty. Definitely worth a visit.

So from what I understand, this is a burial space for the previous royals of Korean Silla. The mounds are breathtakingly large, and they just take your imagination far away. From time to time, you can find some other "exhibition" here. For example, there was...More

It is a place of calm. There is a constant peaceful music playing on the speakers and it just adds to the experience. This is a collection of burial grounds and it is well worth a visit when in gyeongju.

Beautiful park to stroll in with lots of burial mounds, some identified but many unknown. Fascinating when you think of the history that has taken place here.

Royal Tumuli Park (aka DaeReungWon) is a very interesting park. They have these giant hills as you're walking around and you'll be surprised to know that those aren't actually hills but actual tombs of royal emperors from the 6th and 7th century! These tombs are...More

Tombs of kingdom Silla are like pyramids, but smaller. Area is very interesting, with more then 20 tombs.

My hanok was right beside the park, the large rounded tombs a clear attraction. One tomb can be entered. It is a pleasant park area.

The entrance price is ₩2000, and for that you get to walk around a well-presented park featuring a number of burial mounds for ancient Silla kings. The information signs are written in both Korean and English and there is a fair amount to see.
