It is a place where people who are tired of city life can easily feel comfortable. This place is conveniently located at the transportation hub, which ensures easy accessibility. What’s more, anyone can use this place for free. As there are benches around the lake, you can just sit and relax. There is also Hanbat Arboretum consists of Dongwon and Seowon, which are both perfect place for a walk. There is also a tropical botanical garden, insect ecology museum and a playground for kids in Seowon and they are well maintained. You’ll be able to feel the characteristics of all four seasons of Korea here. Highly recommended!

I would like to recommend you a place in Daejon. Daejon is located in South Korea. In Daejon there is a place called Hanbat Arboretum. In the Arboretum you can enjoy many things.
First there is bike rent shop where you can rent a bicycle and have a ride. The Arboretum is near to the river so you can have a good sightseeing views while riding.

Second, since the place is Arboretum there is a spot where you can have a picnic. The Arboretum is divided into two large places, both places have a trail leading to beautiful path, decorated with flowers and other various plans.

Third, there is two playground. But those are different. One is just like normal playground that we know, but the other one is made different. The second play ground is interesting made with wood which is not very common. The reason is, since the place Arboretum is connected to nature, especially to trees they made this site to make many visitors having close connection to the nature.

I recommend HanBat Arboretum to all visitors to Daejeon who want to spend wonderful time with their companions. HanBat Arboretum is located in the center of the city of Daejeon, next to the Daejeon's main street called “Dunsan”. That irony which HanBat Arboretum has is attractively impressive. Such a distinctly quite characteristic shines itself in the big city's business. What's more, you can feel so peaceful in there. It is definitely worthy to visit that place and I am sure that you will love that peace and calmness, too.

I visited the park during winter so the real charm of it wasn't there, but even if it wasn't in the good period the place is charming and nice to relax.

This is a great space and outdoor area to enjoy the beauty of nature. Several different areas showcase Korean flora, but you might get a peak at some fauna too.

Plan your trip Wednesday-Sunday as several of the areas are closed on Monday & Tuesday. If you only want to snap a few pictures, plan for 30-60 min. If you want to enjoy the different spaces, plane for 2 hours.

Other areas/museums nearby are also closed on Mondays.

Good luck and have fun!

I had zero expectation for the Hanbat Arboretum which just looked like a typical neighborhood park. But the park is quite impressive not only with the amount of different flora that would entertain most botanists, but with some nice landscape as well. It is a pleasant spot to walk around and is worthy of being one of Daejeon’s top sights.

Most arboretum is located outside of downtown,
but Hanbat Arboretum is located in the center of Daejeon.
This is a resting place for people who are too busy
with their daily lives and good walk for exercising
Hanbat Arboretum has two gardens, the east garden is closed on Monday,
and the west garden is closed on Tuesday.
If you want to see both gardens, I recommend you
to visit after Wednesdays.
Unfortunately , I visited the garden on Monday and
could only see the west garden.
I was happy to see well- trimmed trees and trails and
what's nice is that there are places for education.
Let's look at the west garden, which is different from east garden.
You can see straw mats on the ground in case of a rainy and
snowy day so that visitors can walk in a pleasant way
The west garden has a beautiful landscape where you can
spend a lot of time and energy
When you come here you can see many signs that can improve
your knowledge of plants and nature

First of all, the promenade is really neat.
I really enjoyed taking a walk and seeing the beautiful nature around me.
It is very difficult to enjoy relaxation in the city center.
But this place was peaceful and quiet.
I like this place because it has a well-established healing space.
The parking lot is also well-equipped, which will be good for visitors by car.

If it weren't for Corona, I would have visited her again and had a picnic, but I couldn't..

It is a place where you can enjoy healing in the city center. It is very large and has a well-equipped promenade with poles and trees. There are many people on weekends.
It is also good for bike riding and inline skating.

It was a beautiful and huge park. Especially in the fall, you can see various colors of trees. The botanical gardens are divided into east and west, but there is a closing date, so you have to check them out.
