If you like hot springs and are struggling to find something fun in Daejeon, I highly recommend this place!
I had always been worried when my friends who live in other cities visited Daejeon, as I was never sure where to take them. If you live in Daejeon, you may know what I mean. When I first visited this park, I was like "it looks just like a normal park which is boring and very common in Korea", and then I found this interesting place. The water was really warm and the facilities were nice.
It is located next to the main street(대학로) so it’s easily accessible and the best thing is, it is free!
There is also a free place to wash your feet and an air drying gun to dry your feet too, so you don’t need to bring your own towel.

This is a must do in Daejeon in my opinion. It's free and your whole body will be re-energized for the rest of the day. Just rock up and soak your feet into 38-42°C hot spring spa water. There are comfortable benches to sit on under shady umbrellas if it's sunny. Some protocols to observe and I'll mention them here. 1 take off your shoes and place them on the concrete pavement (not boardwalk) near the bench space you want to sit. 2 walk over to the taps at the end of each pool and wash your feet there. 3 enter the pool near the taps and walk through the pool to your bench. 4 you can't drink or eat whilst soaking your feet but it's okay to read on your phones or read a book (one pool has a convenient library cabinet). There are air hoses near the taps to dry your feet, they are really effective at doing that. Occasionally during the day, the attendants clean a pool so just move to one that's still running if your still soaking your feet. There are toilets nearby each pool which is handy. Just beware that the water is hottest near the vents in the mid stream part of the pools but they don't stream hot water all the time. The foot spa really work - we felt like we were walking on clouds for the rest of the day afterwards 😊 You can easily get there by catching a subway to Yuseong Spa subway stop and walk a block and a bit to get there.

Back in Daejeon after a Covid imposed absence of just over three years, and we couldn't resist a return visit to the Yuseong Foot Spa. We have only ever been here in winter before, so it was interesting to come in the summer, when the ambient temperatures were around 30c and we weren't sure whether we would still feel the benefit.

Certainly easier from a practical point of view to be just shedding sandals (remember to wash your feet at the taps provided before entering the spa) and no rolling up of trouser legs when you are already in shorts.

Just as relaxing as we remember and, after a week of walking around the city in hot temperatures and feeling the effect in our feet and legs, wonderfully refreshing and relaxing - a real recuperation for feet and ankles.

The recommended length of exposure to the water - around 25 minutes - was on point as we were beginning to feel quite flushed in the heat. Air pumps are provided next to the taps, so that you can quickly dry off your feet.

We visited mid week in the morning and the spa was quiet, just the retired like us and a few toddlers with their parents. Our presence caused mild interest but generally a quiet and peaceful way to spend a morning - lots of coffee shops and cafe's nearby to pour yourself into once you come out.

This place may seem like a “check the box” type of stop, but this was definitely one of my favorites during the whole trip.

I planned to stay only 10-15 min, but ended up staying near 45 min. There is a foot washing station and air hose on site to dry your feet. Packing an extra towel is not needed, unless you just have to use a towel.

Please follow their rules and instructions so all can continue to enjoy this site. It’s easily accessible by public transportation and there is parking nearby if you choose to drive. Small parking fee is required on some streets. I paid only 1000₩ for an hour.

Good luck and have fun!

I took my mom there when she visited. We've been there a few times and she's always loved it. She explained the health benefits and we had a nice chat while enjoying the foot spa. It's definitely worth doing with family and friends. There's outline space to take off your shoes and walking without your shoes along the spa area. It's completely outdoors so be sure to go on good weather days.

There was located beside big street and could trying free foot spa. It was good that everyone could enjoy spa anytime, and many people stayed there for spa. But must bring private towel. There was very good facility for people that was traveling or passing by.

It's good and free! After a long day walk, it's a cheap attraction that guarantees satisfaction.

They provide tap to clean your foot before and after entering the spa. Also, after you finish, they have air blower. Your feet get dry enough, but I prefer to bring my own towel. Enjoy :)

Pretty enjoyable since weather is chill around 8. Some shelters area and some are open area. Remember to bring your own towel and moisturiser after the soak. For the sake of other users, please wash your legs and feet before the soak as I met some locals are not considerate just took their shoes off and put on their feet. So I kind of disappointed on their behaviours. But there are also friendly locals who try to teach you how to enjoy the soak.

Just do what the locals do. After a long day out it was great to soak your feet then dry them off. A very short walk from the Yuseong metro stop.
